Good morning all from an already sticky North Leicestershire.

Sainsbury's misdelivered my wine yesterday so one of today's jobs will be trip to the store for an exchange. This evening we are going for a curry with friends.

Dgd1 also had her prom yesterday. She looked fabulous. Obviously, I am totally unbiased too.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning, everyone from a cloudy and warm south Hants. A quick breakfast then off to water the allotment. It’s going to be windy again later so preventing newly planted crops from drying out is a challenge.
Nothing else planned other than housework. It’s going to be a lazy afternoon with a book I think.
Hope everyone has the best day possible.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, sunshine all day again!

Was very pleased with what my hairdresser did yesterday, after a restful session in her salon. A new colour and a cut to bring my new style into some sort of shape - I have been growing it since January, it's still not there yet but on its way!
Afterwards I walked to Sainsbury's and M&S food, had another coffee and did a top-up shop. Got everything I wanted. Had a look around Next and Sainsbury's clothes, but nothing took my fancy.

Dance classes this morning, pop into our local co-op as I need some cream, then home and hope to spend the afternoon reading.

Wishing all a pleasant day.

Good morning all and it’s a beauty here at the Suffolk seaside.
It’s going to be a corker!

I ordered a largish fan from Amazon but we couldn’t fathom the assembling instructions! Dh hasn’t got the patience or concentration , so decided it was ‘broken’ and told me to return it! 😅.

My neighbours DS and bil kindly took me shopping and in conversation about the fan. He said he’ll take a look at it.
I invited them in for afternoon tea and he, of course, put the fan together and all was well! I was delighted and Dh quietly thanked him 🤬. 🤣.

Today we’ll potter, maybe get Dh down onto the beach to sit by the sea. It’s very uneven ground so we have to take it slowly.

Our week here is flying by and it’s been so restful and restorative.

Take care all 🌼

Early market visit but may miss oldies’ coffee.morning as it will be in its summer venue which is further to walk. Then I shall be doing my best to keep the house cool and doing very little. Good thing I have plenty to read.

Good morning all from a damp Glasgow.

Today is DH's seventy fifth birthday, he has requested a quiet day, which suits ne!
DD and SIL are popping in to night, which I'm looking forward to. SIL is more like a son to me and I haven't seen him for ages, due to work committments.

GM, that sounds a very interesting trip and you will have DS all to yourself! Enjoy.

Susan, you asked about Babydoll:
There was a little girl,
Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good,
She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

It was wet and everywhere would be busy, now the schools have broken up, so we stayed in.
I decided to bake with BabyD, as she loves to help. She is fiercely independent and insists on doing everything herself.--remind you of someone?--
The kitchen looked like a bombsite, worse after I lost my balance and the jar of coconut flew everywhere.🤣
The biscuits, however, were delicious!

After organising DH and Baby's lunch, I went to make mine. What I can only describe as a roar came from the other room. DH shouts because he is deaf, I rushed in to see Scotch broth everywhere. 😱
The demon had thrown her plate of Scotch broth over the room. I couldn't understand it, because it was actually quite tasty. 😉
Then came the look of defiance, followed by contrition.
She ran to papa, climbed up, cuddled in and promptly fell asleep.
DS said that she hadn't slept properly for the last three nights and hadn't been too well.

It was my friend's birthday, so Baby and I went across with a gift. She loves to sing Happy Birthday, so I expected her to perform.
When asked to sing to my friend, she said, No! and proceeded to sing, Baby Shark at the top of her voice,
My friend was delighted!

Later papa took her into the garden to pick strawberries for gran. I saw very few of them! The pink face gave her away. I hope she doesn't have an upset tummy.
The rest of the day, she was an angel, even going into her car seat, without any protestations.
I think she likes to do good cop, bad cop to keep us on our toes!

Both priests are away at the moment and somehow, I have been landed with looking after things.
I received an email, about a parish hall let tomorrow (not my remit), so I need to go down, go into the Parish house to find the key! I was deliberately staying away.

Enjoy your day, what ever your plans. For those, who pray, please keep DH's friend in your prayers, he is too ill to receive his transplant. We need a miracle. DH is devastated, as are we all.

Good morning from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast. Very dull after my time in the Bahamas with DD. Overnight flight, so I’m feeling rather disoriented with the jet lag.
I so enjoyed seeing the turquoise seas and the colourful wooden buildings of Nassau, another place to tick off the list.

Off to art group soon and back to my usual routine. Nice to go away and nice to come home.
Bon voyage grandmattie and thoughts to all.
Sunset in Nassau.

Good Morning from Durham. It’s grey and breezy again here. Got some of my list yesterday, but M&S was a let down. The Bureau de Change wanted cash for cash - still recovering from the cyber attack.
Later, I had a power cut - something threw the main switch. The electrics in this house are ‘over sensitive’. I tried several times to get it the power back on, but it took several attempts. I’ll see what caused it - probably a blown light bulb.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning from South Lanarkshire where we have very grey skies.

Yesterday was pleasantly warm when the clouds parted. DH and I took the daft dug for an afternoon walk and popped into our local hotel for sustenance. A wedding had just taken place so we were treated to a fashion show with our tea and scones.

I think we may get an Indian take away this evening, such excitement.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning everyone from grey Lancashire.

Not feeling too good this morning, think I may have a UTI. I’m waiting for a call from GP.

Have the best day you can everyone 🌹

Morning all from a muggy West Oxfordshire,

Yesterday’s book group was fun. I discovered one of our group is 85! She looks 10 if not 15 years younger.

OH is driving me to the monthly Art Society lecture later. Parking is impossible and the village bus service isn’t particularly reliable.

I hope all is well with the FGT2S.

EkwaNimitee Fri 27-Jun-25 09:31:51

NannyJan my DH and a friend of ours successfully used sour cherry juice and/or the fruit for gout. This was in Spain though, not noticed it in shops here but probably available online if your man wants to try it .

Good morning from currently cloudy West Sussex.

DH has gone to the allotment. I said I’d join him there but am still not dressed. We arrived back in the south on Tuesday afternoon, after our three weeks away in N Ireland and Scotland. We had such a great time visiting old friends - in person is so much better than notes on Christmas cards. Now we have lots of catching up to do at home, especially as we are having our boiler replaced next week and have to clear the kitchen. We should have organised for installation of new kitchen units too but haven’t found a fitter yet (or chosen the units) so we will just have to live without a proper kitchen for a while.

Blossoming, I hope your GP calls back soon and can prescribe whatever’s necessary.

Marydoll, that child will go far 😂.
I’m so sorry about your DH’s friend🙏🏼

Think I will make coffee to take to the allotment. Have the best possible day, Mick and all.

Thank you Ekwa. It is certainly worth a try.

A late, just Morning to you, we’re home. A decent drive back with a fifteen minute break, garden all fine - the first thing I check"
Not much washing, I’ll put the machine on, it’s dry and quite warm so no bother putting it out.
Tesco delivery later, then pub.
We enjoyed our few days away, that’s us until September now.
