Up early today and was watering squashes on the allotment at 5.30, dug up 4 pesky tenacious bindweeds too

My sewing weekender has started, Patrick Grant first, gosh he is doing good community stuff, I never knew. Lovely man

So I have quickly taken advantage of one of the discount codes and managed to source 4 lovely pure linen fabrics. Slowly slowly my stash is becoming all good quality fabrics and slowly slowly, so will my wardrobe

I am in my element this weekend, loving that I can watch as and when I please. I won`t be screen-watching all the time, I want to finish some sewing myself. Meals are easy too and there will definitely be no house cleaning today

Good morning everyone from an overcast Northampton, but sun is expected later.

A good tap/ballet session yesterday, and it wasn't as hot as last week. But when I got home shortly after 2pm, I was finished for the day, and.just sat and read/dozed for the afternoon. Thank goodness I had an easy dinner of cold chicken and new potatoes (again!). I had a lovely long drink of gin and cloudy lemonade before, and a cold pinot grigio with the chicken....

Out for a Chinese lunch today with some neighbours so will not have to do much for tonight's meal. Debating whether or not to wash my hair; it still looks amazing after my visit to the hairdressers on Thursday.

Must put some dried fruit and sugar to soak in hot tea when I get back this afternoon; I am planning on making a tea bread tomorrow and it needs to soak overnight. My go-to failsafe cake. Then tomorrow I just stir in egg and flour, chuck it in the tin and bake, so easy!

Good morning from a cloudy south coast. I’m tired this morning but nothing urgent needs doing so I’m enjoying a second cuppa watching breakfast TV in bed. Peggy is delighted to join me.
Everyone I know seems to be away at the moment including DD and DSiL who are trying out their new campervan which they’ve named Harry von Camper! 🤔
Hope everyone has a good day. I’ll now go back and read through the posts properly.

What busy lives here and all before 9.00 am! Will be going to a lovely concert in our beautiful church later but no other plans so will take life slowly and wait for the heatwave to pass. It’s not often I am glad to live alone but ad hoc meals are much easier when no one else’s tastes have to be considered,

Morning from me and the dog. Since I gave in, spread a soft cover on my bed and let her sleep there, she has settled down and is quite happy. baubles, loved the casual snake remark😊How do you know if a snake’s not okay? And, shudder, what do you do about it?😳

After a restless night I received word that 2DDs, 2DGC and
one SIL had arrived safely in California so fingers crossed for a good holiday for them. Only one DD out of five in the same country as me, it actually feels odd.

Sorry your boy is missing so much school Mizuna, I hope he gets a diagnosis and then good support as soon as possible. It is such a worry.

Still not feeling too good, urine sample dropped off yesterday, awaiting results. In the meantime following advice to rest, drink lots of water and take paracetamol.

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Enjoyed my quiet day yesterday after my holiday. The cat was pleased to see me and after having a rebuking ‘chat’, stuck to me like glue all day and night.

Nice to see everyone at the art group and I’m still hovering round my suitcase, but about to hang some washing out.
This afternoon to a local concert and tonight carry on watching an old series “The Pallisers”, which kept me up late last night…

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. I've been up since sparrow's f**t. Most of the night too.

I baked a cake and picked wild flowers from my own garden weeds to go with our wild flower exhibition at the community café.

Several regulars are in hospital or on holiday and I need my updated food safety certificate so I have come home to do that and to get on with my pottery wedding present.

DGS 18th birthday and leaving school coincided. He said he liked his gift from me. It's a posh fountain pen set engraved with his name.
