Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 18°C.
You seem to be having an interesting time, GM. Enjoy, the next stage.
I feel I am swallowing rusty bails and am so congested, I cannot hear a thing! The irony is, that DH has no patience with me.
A bit of a cheek, considering how poor his hearing is.
He is off golfing, so I will have a bit of peace and quiet. It certainly will be quiet!
I had been hoping for a quieter day yesterday, unfortunately it didn't happen, compounded by a snotty email from a disgruntled parishioner.
It began, Dear MD, I understand this is not your fault, but I know that you are the only person, who will be able to sort it., followed by a rant about something that happened at Mass.
I have had no contact from either of the clergy since the went away, they have just left us to deal with any crisis.
I am pretty annoyed about it all. 😡
After witnessing, some of the issues, the visiting Monsignor very perceptively said that it must be difficult for me, dealing with our forgetful P.P.!
That is indeed an understatement! It is difficult to have responsibility, without authority.
Some may think I am foolish to put up with it all, but I cannot let the parishioners down, it is not their fault. The positive thing is that one parishioner said that it looked as if everything was running so smoothly and thanked me. She had no idea.🤣
We have a newly ordained priest, covering for the next four days, that should be interesting, to say the least.
I expect that he will, be very nervous.
Yesterday, her royal highness, Babydoll appeared. She was in her element, having the full attention of mum, dad, gran and papa.
They had come bearing cakes for DH's birthday and we spent a pleasant afternoon sitting in the garden
with BabyD, trying to strip the bushes of raspberries!.
DD had been going on about me not receiving a birthday gift from DS and DIL last month.
Yesterday, DH and I received a joint gift from them, they had been trying to sync their holidays, before informing us.
They are taking us to Northumberland on holiday in September. We have always wanted to explore that area, especially Banbury Castle.
Something to look forward to.
The sun has come out, the washing is ready to go out and I need to get dressed and get to church.
I wish you all a pleasant day and Blossoming, I hope you are starting to feel better. 💐
Did anyone else feel completely lost as an executor?
