We are watching ELO on BBC2, not my favourite band but thoroughly enjoying it.
You know, I’ve never like ELO ( feel bad about that being a Brummie). But it was on in the background while I was pottering away in different rooms and I thought to myself ‘ I rather like this’. I was pleased to find it was on the BBC as I want to rewatch it properly ( I’m always wanting to rewatch music stuff on Sky Arts but have to wait till it’s eventually repeated). It’s his really well known songs that I’ve never liked but the others sound great. What a lovely, self effacing chap he is as well. Especially as his dad worked for Birmingham Council as did I ( I wonder if I ever met him? his dad, that is..). There was a night of Blondie stuff last night: I think that was BBC. What I found disconcerting was that, when they reformed I thought how old Debbie Harry looked. But, watching them years later with me being much older, she didn’t look old at all back then
.I did struggle to watch it, though, because they interviewed Clem Burke a lot and I’m still really upset that he’s died
