Morning Mick, morning All from a sunny corner of Somerset. Clear light this morning.

Physio agreed with our self diagnosis of Mr C’s foot pain, you never know he may respond to her nagging about the exercises. A remarkably cool garden centre for a cafe stop on the way home was enjoyable, somehow a large planter found it’s way into the car.

Not sure how today will shape itself. I’m aiming for some rose dead heading before its too hot, no idea after that.

Safe travels greyd and all on the move. Hope that rash settles soon roses it sounds horrid. Good luck kitty.

I have cooked the 10yr olds breakfast, made his packed lunch and he will be at school for 8am.

I am off to the gym this morning, then it will be my kindle and the garden calling me.

The Imp is here for dinner this evening, not sure if we will have a Chinese takeout or pop down to the Turkish restaurant.

Hope you get some relief from the itching and the rash clears up Rosesandlilac

I am down your end next week Sar53 (teen sitting for a week) I hope the weather stays warm, a few walks along the beach would be nice. What an adventure for DH, safe travels to him and his friend.

Good morning from another hot and muggy Black Country.

Luckily the walk yesterday is in a Country Park with plenty of shade from the trees. Then a coffee outside where there was plenty of shade too.

The afternoon was too hot to do anything but sit under the Gazebo in the garden and read! BBQ for our evening meal.

We booked tickets for Evita in London for August, train down, overnight stay, then back the next day,

No real plans today, planned to go on a walk which I have found happens every Friday, but it is too hot for it today.

Your rash sounds awful Roses You have my sympathy, as I have recurring rashes if I'm not careful. I have replaced my showerhead with one with water softeners in the handle and it has made a difference for me. I hope you find the meds make it more comfortable.

Good morning everyone from an already warm, bright and sunny 💥 Northampton. Three dance classes.this morning, and I am hoping they will be nice and gentle.

Yesterday was spent battling with with my phone, tablet and laptop, as GMail and Hotmail refused to oblige and I could not get into email at all. I could read old ones, but nothing new was appearing - GMail kept saying they needed ID confirmation; kept changing my password, and tried everything and nothing worked. Eventually I just switched all devices right off, closed everything down, waited a few minutes, switched on again and hey presto, email was back! Still couldn't get GMail on my phone to work, but I have since installed Hotmail on it and everything seems to be ok. It's worrying how we seem to rely on these things, but nearly all important communication seems to come through emails these days.

The Tony Blackburn show on Wednesday night was brilliant! The theatre was packed out and we had almost 3 hours of glorious sixties music - and we were invited to sing along with everything! My friend and I had a great time. Tony Blackburn bopped around the stage to everything, he must be 82/83! Lots of memories of his pirate radio days - I remember listening to him on Radio Caroline in the mid sixties when I was a student.

Nothing planned for the day after dance classes, maybe a coffee after dance at the village bakery,.then just a restful afternoon reading indoors.

Good morning Mick and everyone from warm, sunny Carlisle.
After a dull morning yesterday, the heat kicked in during the afternoon. I left the garden alone, the sun was fierce and I was feeling a tad washed out, fighting off some minor infection with rest and a lot of water. In the morning, I finally booked those flights to Australia, not the absolutely cheapest ones but the most convenient. I shall fly from Manchester rather than struggle with London and the unreliable trains. Going from Manchester, I can always get a taxi transfer if necessary.

Today, not much activity on my part, it will be too warm. This highly insulated house is great in the winter but the upstairs gets quite stuffy in this weather. I shall do a bit of cleaning and wiping in the kitchen and downstairs toilet and that will be it. Then I might even put the TV on this afternoon and watch the tennis followed by highlights of the Tour later. Or if I feel up to it, a walk in the park, there's lots of trees to shelter under.

That sounds horrible Roses, I hope your medications bring rapid relief.

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Dental hygienist yesterday after a checkup of the troublesome site where the broken abscessed tooth resided for so long, giving me so much bother. Offered expensive gum treatment which I declined.

That done, I picked up some trousers which had been shortened. They look like Oxford bags, but a part of a dark blue suit and work well. Then I stocked up on acrylic paints and resisted other tempting things art wise. I’m painting a large canvas, semi abstract, so quite a lot of paint is required.

Off to art group soon, more chat than concentrated work, but good to be in company.

Good morning all. An even hotter sunny day in Glasgow.

No chance of sitting in the garden peacefully under a shaded tree. The thick walls of the house keep downstairs relatively cooler than upstairs and I have decamped to a downstairs bedrooom for a few days. I finally had a full nights sleep unlike the last few nights and feeling refreshed and awake for a change.

Bon voyage Greyduster. I hope your journey isn’t too uncomfortable for you and once on dry land you enjoy your holiday with your family.

I will go out later today, to the vets for cat wormers and possibly to a large shopping mall out of the heat. Just hope others don’t have the same plan or it will be too busy.

Good morning and I’ve already watered and done a bit of weeding, taken the dog out and I’m now having a much appreciated cuppa. 😇. I’m not one to get going early although I’m always up around 6 just lazing!

Thankyou for all you lovely anniversary wishes. We enjoyed our traditional lunch, watched my friends son playing in the 7nder 14’s at Wimbledon (he did well) too hot for these young boys!
Dd and DGD came in after school and enjoyed sitting in our ‘cave’, with blinds down, fan on and windows closed. After tea it was the Brownies run which was her last one before she starts guides.

Today we’ll probably meet our Friday pals (wait to see how Dh is - he wasn’t good yesterday- and if the others prefer not to go.

Roses I hope you get some relief , that rash sounds so uncomfortable. 🙏.

Morning from my bit South Lanarkshire. So used to sunny forecast weather not actually happening that I’m going to have to withdraw from an afternoon coffee gathering, there is no way I can walk uphill for almost a mile in 25 degrees.
These are the times when I do miss having a car, hey ho.

I hope your medication helps quickly with your rash etc Roses, it sounds really horrible.

I’ve been exceptionally tired since Grand dog departed on Tuesday, I guess my age is showing. I haven’t enjoyed the feeling, another reason to be cautious today.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. A warm day forecast but my Georgian house never gets too hot.

Yesterday I enjoyed the walk along the Water of Leith to the Gallery of modern art, exhibition and lunch.
A nice meal in a local hotel in the evening.
It would have been DH 80th birthday today so I am having a party in remembrance tomorrow. His cousin is here from America and will help.

I think your horrid rash may be from hogweed Roses. Have you been gardening amongst the verges?
If so it will clear up but you need to cover up and liberally apply calamine lotion. Check at pharmacy!
I hope to catch some tennis after my shop shift.

Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow, where it is 12°C.

Sar, I too had one Prosecco too many last night, I should have known better, as I don't drink much these days!

I had a minor, but unsettling, heart episode during the night, followed by excrutiating cramp in my ankle. So little sleep was had.
I've had a few lately, after doing so well. After two days of childminding, I am wiped out, but I am determined to do it.
Litterpicker, you asked how I do it. DH and I are a team and I will keep going as long as I can.
However, it is becoming more and more difficult.😪

Roses, I used to suffer badly from this and the cause was long term medication I was one. The worst was my chest area, it drove me to distraction. I had to wear gloves, when pushing the pram.
Once it flared up badly in Seville, with serious cellulitis. My GP was horrified and said if I had left it any longer, I would have been hospitalised.

Poor BabyDoll was so cross and defiant yesterday, she wouldn't let her daddy get to work. Apparently, she had hardly slept. Dollie tried to help, but she too wasn't flavour of the month, which is not like Babydoll. She loves Dollie.

We went to Braehead, (DH's least favourite place) for a couple of hours, just to get out of the house. Papa took her for a walk along the river, where she had a total meltdown, (poor DH) while I went to TKMAXX.
They had beautiful ceramic pots, including a strawberry one,
but unfortunately, I couldn't lift nor carry them. 😪

Before going home, we had lunch in MacDonald. We really like this one ( the only one DH will go to) it is spotless, quiet and the staff are friendly and helpful, we got home to receive a picture message from DD, they were in the same McDonalds with Dollie.
We missed them by minutes! They had a lucky escape.🤣
What I did notice was that BabyD, takes after her father. Everything has to be placed on the table a certain way, eaten in a certain order,
and food must be eaten straight from the bag.
DH did not understand this and annoyed her by interfering trying to help,
Using my experise, from a former life, I have already diagnosed her condition and developed strategies to deal with inheritance idiosyncrasies 😉

We later discovered why she was so cross. She had dreadful diarrhoea, requiring a bath. Not only was she needing a bath, I suffered too, she would not let me clean her up. I could have wept, for I wasn't feeling great and DH was no help at all. He just panicked and flapped!
She refused to go in the shower or the bath, but once she was in, refused to come out, insisting that I sing to her. On the way back to her home, she ordered me not to sing!
She is an awkward and determined little besom. 🥰

As soon as she came out of the bath, she cuddled up to papa for the rest of the afternoon, while I was left with a load of clothes, requiring Vanish and soaking. 🤢
It is always the same, I feed her, nurture her , deal with the ailments and disasters and she, like Dollie favours Papa. DD is exactly the same. Grrr!

Today, I need to do a food shop and later attend my hearing loss consultation.
I am feeling very low and isolated. Dealing with everything else is difficult, without this in the mix.
After that, DH and I are taking the bus to DD's, where we will be joined by Dollie and her parents, who live close by.
I may give the Prosecco a miss! 😉

Yesterday turned into a lovely sunny day after a cloudy start. MrB and I enjoyed time with family at the Marina. I used my tri walker and we sat outside enjoying coffee and a chat. We went for our usual walk down to the dock gates later in the afternoon. I was quite tired by bedtime. I find socialising saps my energy although I was glad to see everyone. Today we are off to Lytham now that the promised wall-to-wall sunshine has finally arrived

I have a Solbari sun hat Roses, it’s great.

Got a new phone yesterday - needs a different chsrger, so it’s already flat! A couple of important financial things wouldn’t transfer over, so they’ll have to wait until Monday now.
However, this old phone is still working perfectly - odd?

Off for a nail appointment with DD2 later, then I’ll see what her plans are with DGS2 - I don’t want to muscle in,

Good morning from the West midlands, it's so hot and sunny here that I have gone commando & so has the dog!!
I'm not sure that I'm a Summer person. My nose is running like a tap & I feel grotty, lethargic and grumpy. Roll on Autumn. 🤔

Marydoll good luck with your hearing consultation, I am sure if you do need hearing aids they will be a big help. I hope you can be offered NHS ones they are very good now and comparable to many expensive private aids. All the best
