I’ve just stood on our verandah watching littlies in high viz tops about 40 of them with teachers & helpers standing in the shade across the road, watching for the train for a school summer trip. One or two boys (it’s always boys isn’t it? 😂) looked up and noticed me and started waving. I waved back and put my thumbs up. Word spread, loads of them looked up and I was waving and putting thumbs up for 5 minutes. All too cute! Little hats and all carrying water holders. Then the train into Manchester on Platform 1 arrived and they all set off, waving as they went - as the teachers took them down the slope to board the train. It was such a joyful moment which I then came in to share with Himself.

There's something quite magical about that connection FGT. Such a simple and joyous act. Riding on the little train in South Shields Park, we wave, rowing the boats on the Wear in Durham, we wave, then more recently a cruise along the Thames to Kew Gardens. Waving happily to people we'll never know but joined and united in that happy moment in time. A shared pleasure.
Wishing you both a happy and peaceful day together.

'Mizuna last I remember you had been cleared to do volunteer work at your local A&E department. Did that not pan out?'

FGT what a good memory you have? I did it for a while but I have bronchiectasis now and kept getting poorly, presumably I was picking up all sorts of bugs within A&E. So sadly I had to give it up. Dissembling Lego is safer. 😂

I love your description of the children at the station.

Thank you Annapops.
I’d had a little cry earlier and the sight of those children just lifted my spirits. x

FGT how special was that to watch those wee ones setting off on the hottest day so far. I hope they'll be OK.
