He’s forgotten my birthday.

OH has forgotten that it’s my birthday today. At 89, I only have 2 good friends left and they have both sent lovely cards, but what I miss is hearing an actual voice wishing me Happy Birthday. Still,I count my blessings. I’ve just picked a colander full of runner beans, my first tomatoes are ripening, my little cat is purring peacefully by my side and it’s not as hot as it was yesterday.

I can imagine how you must feel, I wouldn't like that either. However it's not the end of the world, just enjoy your day. You never know it may have some suprises in store for you. Have a lovely birthday. flowers

Does your DH realize he’s forgotten or is he having memory problems? I find weekend birthdays usually mean some early messages and some late. Will a belated birthday from him do?

Happy birthday wishes chicken. I've known my man friend for over 20 years and had a couple of birthday cards to start with but nothing since. He makes up for it in other ways, though.

“Lathyrus” thank you for the offer of a courgette but no thanks. I’ve got a bucketful of them and more growing each day They’re like triffids!

“Remember to lock your car at the allotment - or somebody will put courgettes on the back seat”

Next time, remind him, you know he has memory issues, save both of you the pain of a forgotten birthday. Don't put yourself through that or him the guilt when he realises.
