I've seen many - Beatles and many 70s stars, Elton, Cliff, Don McLean, Paul McCartney solo, Michael Bublé, lots more. I would love to have seen Elvis when he was at his peak.

I wanted to see Queen, but my mobility was such that I couldn't stand for 10 minutes, let alone two hours or more. I do enjoy Adam Lambert, but I have never seen him.

Clawdy - that's made me chuckle!

Had tickets for Jimi Hendrix concert back in the sixties, but it was a freezing cold night and for once, boyfriend and I had the house to ourselves, my parents were out! Regretted it ever since!

It costs hundreds of dollars now to see the big stars here. We used to think $25 was expensive back on the day. Often the old ones like Cliff Richard come out here but I prefer to remember them in their hey day and not see them when they are past it.

Missed not going to see Michael Jackson when he was performing locally. Children were very little. I opened my windows to listen to him!

We had tickets to see Richard Ashcroft and Pearl Jam last year and it was cancelled 😞

I have seen loads of comedians over the years but would like to see more music but my husband point blank refuses to go to anything ‘big’

When my kids were tiny, I missed out on a Queen concert. My parents were staying at the time and it would not have been right to leave them alone with them as we didn't see them often. They would never have understood or approved of me going to a pop.concert.

I had bought tickets for a joint concert that Elton John and Billy Joel were giving in Munich. I was going to work out how to get there and where to stay (a bit far to come straight home again) when the time came. Then I heard that they had fallen out and Elton dropped out, saying he had flu. After that it seemed too much of a hassle, and I didn't go., as much as I admire Billy Joel. So that was DM200 I never got back.

When I was teaching I used to go on the annual week long residential with Y6.

One year, during the residential week, U2 were playing in Manchester, and a group of the Y6 parents went to see them - made easier for them because their children were safe with us teachers in Wales.

I loved U2 and would have loved to see them but, of course, I couldn’t🤷‍♀️

That’s dedication for you!

Made even worse, on our return, by the parents telling me how fantastic the U2 gig wasangry

It wasn't due to lack of funds but l had to leave Glastonbury in 2000, just before Bowie took to the stage.

We thought £1.80 a ticket was a bit steep, so didn't bother going to see... Queen 🤦🏻🙄

We've seen them twice since with Adam Lambert. Cost somewhat more 😂

Johnny Mathis. My friend and I ‘discovered’ him when he first started. We thought he was wonderful, and now, at the age of 79, I still do.
My tastes in music vary so much. I love ballads, some Country, Neil Diamond, Elvis, Classical music, and ‘easy listening’. I still love many songs from my youth. I have adult children and grandchildren of various ages, so I get introduced to lots of different sounds. It’s good, because I feel it keeps me young when I hear all the things they listen to.

All of my work colleagues went to see Bowie in Manchester but I didn’t fancy going…

Ziggy62 Mon 14-Jul-25 22:00:18

Seen Bowie many times but never as Ziggy Stardust unfortunately

I went to see their farewell show last week which has since got me thinking about who I've missed out on seeing in the past due to lack of funds. Oh I so regret not being able to have seen Abba, Marc Bolan, George Michael, Victoria Wood. My list is a bit longer than that. Who did you miss out on?
