Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 14°C.
My hacking cough is back and I have totally lost my voice. Consequently, I have had very little sleep,
Susan, what a disappointment for you. I hope you feel better today. 💐
GM, I hope your event goes well. One hundred people is a normal attendance at our Sunday morning café after 10am Mass. It is something many look forward too. It is not unusual to see three generations there.
LLFL I would have loved your trip!
A former pupil of mine is at footman at Buckingham Palace. If he answers to Stephen, he is my pupil. 😉
He came from Hong Kong, with no English at five years old and he was put in my class. It was very rare in those days to have an ESL child in class, a steep learning curve forcal involved.
I know I should be impartial, however his sister was my favourite pupil in my whole career. She became a very successful lawyer and DS sees her at business meetings.
The crazy HT told me it would be fine, because I was a linguist. There was only smal one problem, I didn't speak Cantonese! 🤣
Many years later, their father brought his great nephews to enrol in the school (again no English) He told me that he had always admired and respected me, because I was one very tough teacher I think it was meant as a compliment!
Whenever I bump into him, he always bows respectfully and insists on calling me Mrs MD, not by my Christian blame, even although we are the same age..
Today we have Dollie and may go a run Doon the watter. The only thing is, her mum is dropping her off slightly later and the seaside will be crowded by the time we get there.
DH hates when it is busy. Baubles, I hope you have a good day.
Before she comes, I need to go to the surgery twenty minutes away, when it opens, to pick up prescriptions. We have BabyDoll tomorrow and I have a hospital appointment on Friday.
There are not enough hours in the day.
I long for some quiet time
and an opportunity to indulge in some private wallowing. I wish people would stop visiting.😉
Yesterday, I filled some more bags, but bizarrely have a single boot to get rid of. I searched everywhere, but no sign of it..
The mountain of bags is piling up (think of a bin strike) and I shall have to call BFH today to increase the number to be picked up. I am notorious for hanging on to clothes, just in case. I couldn't let go of my work clothes, but they are going at last!
The bonus of my dramatic weight loss is that many look ridiculous on me, therefore I can let go, without feeling guilty!!!.
I wish you all a pleasant day and hugs for all of us, who have what seem like insurmountable mountains too climb. Isn't it strange how we do find the strength to cope?
