MD, we have about 70 after church of a Sunday, but I don’t help at those, preferring to be served…. The FAB cafe and coffee and chat meetings rarely produce more than 20.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from Northern Ireland where we have a mix of blue sky and cloud at the moment. We had a boat trip yesterday and saw more puffins than I’ve ever seen in my life. The boat guide said he was surprised at the numbers that were on the water yesterday and he is out most days, along with guillemots and razorbills. We came back to shore to a terrific cloudburst and got very wet. But it cleared by the time we went out to dinner at a restaurant up in the hills where we had fabulous views of Rathlin, and even Mull, and Jura in the distance. Not sure what the plan is today - it’ll be a blessed relief not to have a plan!
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning everyone from a cloudy Northampton, but we should see some sun later.

Busy day yesterday, vacuumed the landing and stairs (a hated job), then took the filters out of the Shark, shook all the dust out then washed them. Needed to wash the kitchen floor, but decided I didn't have time if I was going to have lunch and make it to my health walk.

The rain held off for our walk; but one of our members had a nasty fall on the way to join us - he turned up with a nasty gash on his forehead, whereupon two walkers took him straight to A&E. He was checked over and had his cut glued, but was more shocked than anything else.

Will get the kitchen floor washed this morning, then a late lunch/early dinner. DSon-in-law will pick me up about 5pm, and take me over to theirs as it is our ladies wine club tonight on the other side of town. I will stay at DD's overnight. Looking forward to a good evening!

Wishing all a pleasant day.

Good Mornng from Durham. It’s grey, cool and breezy. Rain yesterday has improved the look of the garden.
I’ve no plans today, but must get my Sky tv sorted out and I’ve 2 tops to return to Fenwicks later. Incredible sale bargains for DGS2, but his parents didn’t like them.

Best wishes to all. X

Morning Mick, morning All from a sunny corner of Somerset

Apologies, no time to read. Off to the eye hospital and I’m unusually very late.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's raining steadily.

We had a nice day out in Edinburgh, cousin and I, despite not being able to find my purse/bag and travelling without.
I'm a member of the galleries and luckily I was found on the system without my card. We enjoyed James V1 of Scotland, 1st of England at the Portrait gallery and then trotted down Leith Walk to Toppings bookshop and lunch at Valvona and Crolla which was excellent.
Once home I found my bag in an unlikely place. A room I hardly go in
Then a German man arrived to buy DHs record collection and spotted a curling stone so bought that as well.
I'm gradually clearing my hallway.

Yarn group today and perhaps community lunch.
My American cousin would like a trip to a Scottish island but I think it may be too late to organise as she leaves on Monday.

Sorry your throat is so bad and the cough no better MD

I hope the holiday makers are having nice weather.

Happy birthday Eckwanimity 🥂

Happy Birthday EkwaNimitee 🎂🥳 have a lovely day.

A late good morning from the sunny south. I hope the wind stays away because I need to get out the front and spray the last remaining weeds between the paving. It’s all looking a bit tatty but the sun has been extremely strong and low in the sky so I’ve had to leave it. I also have to shift a large bag of horticultural grit that was delivered yesterday and dumped on the front door step. The sack barrow has a flat tyre so I’ll have to use the car tyre inflator. More hassle😩
I overslept this morning - hence the late post so I’ll now go back and read all the posts.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.

Yesterday it rained nearly all day. The ground was too slippery for me so our walk was aborted. It was St. Swithins Day too!

Thinking of our poorly Grans and families, as always.

Have the best day you can everyone 🌹

A late good morning from a cloudy and dull Black Country.

I was awake at 5am, then the next I knew it was 8am! Unheard of.

Yesterday it rained quite heavily late morning/early afternoon. MrJ and his cycling group finished their ride early.

I had a very long phone chat with my friend in the evening. She moved to Lincs 8 years ago. She had to have her dog who was 16, put to sleep in the week and she was quite obviously upset. We chatted for well over an hour. Trying to arrange a time for me to go and visit, and looks like it will be October before both of us will be free. So looking forward to that I as we haven't met since before Covid.

No real plans today, but the drive needs weeding and still ironing to be done.

Wishing you all the best day possible

Good morning all from a sunny, but bit chilly Telford, I hope you all keep well, and have an enjoyable day.

Another late good morning from South Lanarkshire but absolutely no sun here baubles and Kalu, in fact it feels distinctly cool.
Happy Birthday EkwaNimitee I hope your enjoying your day and olfactory delights😊

I hope you enjoy your day too Gingster and your DH copes okay with his fishing trip.

I’m taking DGD2 out for lunch today and I’m a bit anxious about it. Last summer she was involved in a very bad crash which she walked away from totally unhurt. She is away at university with only Christmas/Easter holidays etc at home so has been able to cover up the increasing anxiety that she has been suffering since the accident. Thank goodness she has coped with her uni work but just cannot drive a car now although, or when I think of it, perhaps because she was totally blameless for the accident. Maybe that’s worse when you realise that you can’t do everything right and still be in a disaster.
Anyway, I hope I get it right.

Wishing everyone the best day possible x

Awaiting visit from local firm to advise on replacing the windows in our garden room - we did the rest of the house four or five years ago so this will really be completing the job. No doubt this one job will cost almost as much as the rest put together but it does need doing now that one large window has blown and the existing sliding doors are so heavy I can hardly
shift them.

Otherwise some admin and a potter in the garden will fill the day nicely.

EkwaNimitee, have a lovely birthday!

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Music club enjoyable as always yesterday and I then picked up my gold rope chain necklace with its new clasp. I was told it was 15 carat and foreign. It belonged to my MIL. My late DH used to use it on his waistcoat with scarlet cummerbund for regimental dinners.

I had troublesome cramp in the night, so little sleep, but will fix up MOT today and go to an opera concert tonight.

Birthday greetings EkwaNimitee and very understandable that your DGD2 has been affected by the crash.
Thoughts to all🌺
