Good Morning from Durham. What a sky!! Looks like a lovely day in store.
I’ve slept well, but don’t feel refreshed.
Nothing planned today, other than coffee with my friend who is going away for a long weekend tomorrow. I’ve DD2’s Little Dog here to walk tonight. Gardeners should come today - the dog loves them.
Baubles. a friend and her family love Coldingham Bay - they take over some modern apartments which look fabulous (booked via Crabtree).
Good news Mick and a sensible idea from Marydoll. I adore ginger snaps dunked, but they set off my IBS!

Best wishes to all X

Good morning from a grey W Kent
Pleased you had good news Mick
A busy day yesterday, I went into the local town with DD1, she likes to go round the charity shops looking for books and games for her nursery. We then all had lunch out at our favourite restaurant followed by a quick visit to Bluewater, I have certainly slept better.
Today everyone still sound asleep so we shall see
Best wishes to everyone

Good morning from an overcast N. Bucks. At least the strong breeeze has abated.
Household chores and some garden pottering this morning, dead heading and weeding. We are also expecting a delivery of our favourite Cornish pasties, which will go in the freezer.
DH is going out to buy me a new IPhone. Mine is getting rather old and I would really like a better camera.
This afternoon is the annual afternoon tea with my sewing group.
Pleased to hear you news Mick.
Hope you get your results soon Maw.
Wishing all a good day with a smile along the way.

Grey but quite sticky this morning but no rain in the forecast, sadly. Must gird myself to work out how to contact someone about my uncollected green bin when everyone else’s seems to have gone. No real plans but must brave the supermarket, I think, though I don’t fancy it.

Great photos today! As a potter myself Llfl I am most impressed with your first? efforts👌
Coldingham is a nice bay and usually not too busy. Thanks for the photo and nails Baubles.
Marydoll that's such a good picture of your bench 😂😅😍

Good morning from a sunny Suffolk which should be a pleasant temperature today. I’m impressed by all your various outings and activities which are a pleasure to read about.

Life here continues at a gentle pace which is how we have chosen it to be after our recent bereavement. Friends and family are,of course,in regular contact and we see them frequently,as distance provides. I’m off to my stretch class shortly and then an afternoon in the summerhouse I think.

I’m taking 2 friends to the Red House in Aldeburgh tomorrow as there is an exhibition they want to see. A serious illness means that they don’t drive any more and it is not an easy place to get to without a car. The gardens, worked mainly by volunteers, should be lovely and it is always a peaceful place to spend time there.

Hope all have the best day possible.

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny, warm Carlisle.
Reassuring news for you, Mick and the food diary suggestion is perhaps the way to go?

Thank you for your birthday wishes yesterday. I went into town and treated myself to the expensive coffee and biscuits which I've been cutting back on recently. Not because I can't afford them but because I think biscuits and cakes are getting ridiculously expensive.
I went into Waterstones and bought the book I was looking for plus two others, all I need now are more hours in the day.
I mowed the lawn later, it's now growing furiously after its feed, and did a lot of deadheading.
Later, I celebrated with a large glass of pink champagne whilst watching highlights of the Tour.
At this moment, I'm procrastinating, there's a list of necessary but tedious jobs to do. If I don't make a start now, they certainly won't get done later, afternoons and evenings are for more fun things.

I like the glaze on those pots LLFL, not a hobby you need to drop.

Have the best possible day all of you.

Marydoll

*Baubles*, what shade? Mine are a boring rose pink, unlike yours!
They are not professional looking, as I can only reach them with some contortionism. 🤣

I'm off to look up Coldingham bay!

It’s a Sally Hansen polish. Pic attached

Morning, cloudy in S Hants, feels warm, 26 due later, hosepipe ban from Monday so we topped up the water butts last night.
Great news Mick 👍
Beautiful sands baubles I need my toenails redone, a local lady does them for £10, bargain.
My car went off last night to have a couple of scrapes fixed, back today.
Must order a cake today for our granddaughter, she’ll be 18 in a few weeks, a local lady makes fabulously decorated ones.

Good morning everyone from cloudy Lancashire.

It’s feeling a lot cooler, MrB and I are off out for a walk shortly.

Good news about your scan Mick, hope the doctor can help with your problem.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Maw.

Love the bench Marydoll.

Thinking of our poorly Grans and families, as always.

Have the best day you can everyone 🌹

Thanks, Baubles.

Same one I think. It’s more orange than red on me though.

A later good morning today, from DD's over in East Northants, where it has just started raining.

A busy morning yesterday, washed the kitchen floor and while I had the steam cleaner out, also did the front porch and cloakroom, then took it upstairs and did both bathrooms.
Had a late lunch and got ready . DSon-in- law picked me up and brought me over here.

We had a lovely evening at our ladies wine club, lovely wines and good food in equally good company.

DD will take me home later this morning, then I shall await a Sainsburys delivery mid-afternoon.

Easy dinner of home-made Bolognese from the freezer.

Glad to hear about your scan results Mick, and Maw, hope you get good news soon.

Wishing all a pleasant day.

Coldingham Bay

If never heard of that holiday rental site Georgesgran, thank you. I think I spotted that building yesterday.

😂 Baubles - fo(u)nt of useless information-me!

Ziplok Thu 17-Jul-25 10:56:35

A late good morning to you all.
That is good news Mick You must be so relieved to hear there is no tumour. Now it’s a case of gradually building up your strength and appetite.
I hope that, you, too, Maw aren’t waiting long to find out the results of your scan. 🤞for a positive outcome.
Sending kind thoughts to all who are struggling, worrying or feeling unwell.

Good morning from sunny East Lothian. We drove north on Monday - no overnight stop so we spent Tuesday recovering.

DD2 and SiL are at their caravan down in the Borders but we will see them at the weekend when we will all be in Aberdeen to welcome the Tall Ships. DGSs are crewing on the Sea Cadets training ship and we are all very excited to hear about their voyage from Dunkirk (I hope we will get more out of them than we do when we ask about school/exams etc 😂).

Meanwhile DH and I spent yesterday afternoon weeding and cutting down an over enthusiastic willow in DD’s garden. I hope we haven’t done anything we shouldn’t - she did say the willow needed taming!

What lovely photos of beaches, garden and bench today. Thank you Baubles, Georgesgran, Grammaretto and Marydoll.
LadyLeftFieldLover, your ‘beginner’ pottery looks most impressive.

Mick, that’s good news from the CT scan. I hope you can get some help with your bowel problems and weight loss.

Rosiesmaw, I hope you don’t have to wait too much longer for your results 🌸.

Need to do a packing list for the weekend - it will have to be minimal, unlike my normal procedure when travelling in the campervan which is ‘take everything just in case’. We are getting the train from Edinburgh to Aberdeen and staying in a hotel in the city centre. The weather forecast is for sunshine and showers but it shouldn’t be cold.

Best wishes to all.
