Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 13°C.
I've had a dreadful night, my chest is so congested and I felt awful.
We have BabyD today, but it will be a day in the garden. The bargains I purchased on holiday need planted and I have lost my oomph.
My angels wings plant is dying and I have no idea what is wrong. I will need to remove it.
GM, you must be so relieved that your son has arrived safely.
Yesterday it was glorious in St Andrew's, 23°C.
We popped into M&S food hall first thing, where there was an intimidating man, accosting people for money. Just as we were getting into the car, I could hear shouting. He started chasing another man round our car and DH, who was foutering as usual, hadn't noticed one of them running past him. I was urging him to get into the car and he had no idea why I was shouting at him.
I have said this before, that man lives in a parallel universe.
We I had a browse around the shops, parked at the beach, a picnic lunch the beautiful beach, then a stroll along the sands, before going home.
I found the most luxurious disabled toilet, I have ever seen.
It was the size of a small bedroom and had a shower and a trolley bed, which could be used to shower someone.
While I was using it, there was a loud banging on the door and someone persistently rattling the handle.
DH was standing outside and I thought it was him, concerned about me.
I got outside to be accosted by a lady waving a radar key. I have a key, she said and I needed to use the toilet. I too have a key, I said and I also needed to use the toilet. No apology, just a rant about the fact she had a radar key!
DH was standing nearby, oblivious to all the fuss!
We arrived home to grey skies and a drizzle of rain. Same country, totally different weather.
On arriving home, I phoned the surgery to find the reason for the umpteen missed calls on my phone.
Apparently, my GP wishes to discuss a letter he had received from Rheumatology. The first appointment available was in two weeks and the receptionist couldn't tell me the contents of the letter, which contained information on MY health.
The only thing I can think of, is that something has shown up, in my recent blood tests. My imagination is on overdrive.usually if there is a letter, there is a prescription waiting, but nothing.
I will phone the hospital today to try and find out what is going on.
I then asked for an appointment for a COPD and heart review, explaining that it was months overdue. What a palaver. The receptionist was reluctant to make an appointment, because I did not attend a hospital respiratory dept.
It was only after I explained that I had been discharged three times from the hospital clinic and had been re-referred at last year's review (no appointment as of yet) that she gave me an appointment, ........in four weeks time!
Why is it a constant battle to get support?
I wish you all a pleasant day, whatever your plans. A special mention for those with mountains to climb, physically or mentally. 💐
