Storm Floris

Nothing too bad at the moment - just yukkie weather. However I'm in north-east Scotland, and rather worse is forecast! I did think, when I saw sunshine forecast for this afternoon, that I might do a wash and get it hung out - and then I saw the wind speed of gusts up to 64mph and decided discretion might be the better part of valour 😉 otherwise my clothes would be flying over the North Sea in interesting formation.

Very windy here and quite wet but still very warm. (East Midlands). I hope everyone in the North keeps safe with no damage to their property.

Torrential rain and strong winds in our bit of Brum.

Very windy here with occasional fierce showers but very sunny in between.
It's strangely warm and clammy though. Most odd altogether.

Very windy and after a morning of heavy rain the sun has just come out! I think there may be more to come.

It’s not too bad at the moment, but the wind speed is picking up. I’ve taken down a few outdoor lanterns and moved a few pots to try to stop them blowing over. It’s dry for now, too.

It was wet and windy earlier here in Blackpool but although it's still windy the sky is blue and the sun is shining.

Currently watching my wheelie bin make a slow escape attempt down the road, classic British storm activity. Sending good thoughts to anyone getting the worst of it, especially up in Scotland and North Wales.

very wet and windy here in Ayrshire, neighbour put childs paddling pool stuffed tightly between his hut and six foot fence...it is now at his back door...

We currently have clear blue skies. It is blowing a hooley though. This is near Scotland/England border near the coast.

Part of my roof is now lying in the back garden, and my bay trees in heavy pots were blown down. When I went out to pick them up, I could hardly stand upright in the wind. (West coast of Scotland).

Overcast, clammy, and warn where I am in Greater London. Occasionsal breeze.

Had to avoid broken branches and debris on the road, quite scary.
Opened my boot and some of my shopping blew away! 😱
It was cardboard bin day, what a mess! Bins and cardboard strewn all over the road.

Our local weatherman, who has a way with words, (WindyWilson) advised us here in Scotland he"didn't fancy getting a slap in the pus wi a hanging basket" and we should probably take them down. .

We're expecting the real winds will kick in after 3pm after a morning of heavy showers, light winds and weirdly warm temperatures.

It was supposed to miss this area and go further North but it's very wet and windy here.

Oh, one of the outdoor parasol with a very heavy base has just blown over. There are a couple of large garden tubs, the ones with handles for collecting weeds etc, blowing around. I'm snug in the conservatory and not going out go anchor them down.

South Coast - a breezy day with no sun and a bit of drizzle which seems to have stopped now.

So no storm here.

It's lovely here now. Sunny with a light breeze. Think I'm further east than others in Wales.
