Some advice please- do you find Birkenstocks comfortable? To wear all day and walk a few miles on errands, sightseeing etc

Primrose - What an impressive collection!

Here’s my only other remaining pair of sandals, Sainsbury’s I think. Not much support but nice and light to wear.

I find they tip me back too much. Having worn heels since I was 9 (cure for flat feet with nasty metal bridges in), my tendons give me gyp with such flat shoes.
I have been wearing Skechers for the last 10 years, but this year their sandal range was a bit scruffy.
Every now and then I can find a pair of Josef Siebel in a sale, but not for walking very far

I love mine. I’ve pretty much worn them every day since I bought them in April. They cost £95.
Cost per wear therefore = buttons.

If I had feet as lovely as yours, I might try them! (I’m not being creepy, it’s just that I have unattractive feet and I am always envious when someone has attractive ones).

Birkenstock mould to the feet and also align the foot to the footbed ...

May I ask the Moshulu fans how they fit?

I have wide feet, my shoe size is 5.5/38.5 but, as is often the case, when half sizes aren’t available I would go up to a 6/39.

Surprisingly my Birkenstocks are all size 5/38 and fit perfectly, so I’m wondering if the same would apply to Moshulu?

Thanks in anticipation of replies 😊

Graso, I find Moshulu sizing pretty reliable, and they do half-sizes, but they don’t do variable width fittings, as far as I know. I have their boots, slippers and sandals, and all are true to size.

I love my Birkenstocks but I wouldn’t spend a day walking in them - they’re fine to pop round the shops. The cork can be very drying if you’re in bare feet so heel balm is a good idea.

My Birkenstocks have a strap across the back, which makes them feel secure.

I usually am a size 6 but my Birks are a 5 and fit perfectly to the contours of my feet.
