havent got my coffee table yet but its the exact smaller version of my dining table in this pic should be coming in a few weeks

My coffee tables, more for decoration

About 50 years ago we bought a table from Lewis’s in Manchester. Long gone, the shop I mean.
It was called a supper table, it was larger and higher than a coffee table.
It had a tiled top.
I loved it but it was rather large. I think the top, it had legs which came off , is in the loft.
It will probably be “chucked” when I am gone.

This is our coffee table, cluttered as usual. It is rosewood with mother of pearl inlay which we collected whilst living in Hong Kong 30 years ago. It is meant to be a statement piece but as you can see it has long been part of the family and is well used.

This is ours. A chest I bought from Argos about 13 years ago. It has children’s art supplies in as well as a few bits that don’t have another home!

My one has tv on it since moving to a tiny house- it is one long drawer in it(though it looks as if its 2!) But it slides all the way through, so when it was just a coffee table (not used as tv stand) it was very useful to access from both sides.Lately its got cards,batteries,etc inside and underneath it houses all other junk weve nowehere for🙄 I too love your coloured one flippinheck!😃

Mine is actually a footstool but has a tray on it. Somewhere to keep the fruit bowl and home of the 'zappers' that control tv etc.

Haven't got one. Never had one.

I do have a footstool which has my book, glasses and radio controller, also a very large fluffy cat. No room for my feet.

Thank you @Nannan, I really like it. I like that it doesn’t look too new.

Apart from one message, none of you seem to have four legged friends which either have WMD tails or who find books, glasses, remotes and anything else, totally and deliciously edible. I occasionally look at mine as a polished but empty thing of beauty!

One my husband made!
After we retired my husband started to make items and as a secondary school English teacher it was a real challenge for him. Some items on the lathe (so many turned items in my house now) and a few pieces of furniture out of second hand wood. This coffee table was a real success and is great as it is super narrow. He used part of a table he got from the tip and pieces left over from an oak staircase we had put in. I do love the G Plan ones but all our furniture is now light oak so the teak doesn't match. Thanks for this thread - great fun.

You are lucky to find room for a cup on mine ... top covered in poetry books, shelf with games.

Our coffee table is a huge old thing with two massive drawers, one is full of board games and photo albums the other is……..take a guess!

Bought in early 2000s. I admit I'm not the tidiest person. And I have too many books. And a cat who has nibbled the end off every single leaf of my palm.

Love a coffee table but have accessibility issues and a puppy so big empty space that had a rug before puppy but moved it thankfuly

I haven't got a coffee table either. I've obviously missed out somehow. This probably explains why my dear son-in-law balances coffee mugs on the sofa arms......

I have one similar to NotSpagetti but square that the telly is on and a brass one from Sri Lanka (Ceylon) via DH’s Grandad.
