I hope you are getting good support from McMillan nurses.
FGT
I don’t like to think it but it seems to vary around the country.
Two very good friends of mine living close to me ,found them very unhelpful.
No support and offhand in their attitude.
Not at all what was needed at a very difficult time.
One was for herself and one was for her H.
You need only the best you can get.

Our MacMillan nurse in An Angel in Disguise. The day she came (pre-arranged) she immediately suspected sepsis.
Thank goodness. But for her …

Fgt hugs to you both

Pleased you’re being supported FGT.

Not really the place, but Macmillan? Useless - wouldn’t give them house room!

Me neither. They refused point blank to have anything to do with us when they heard that the hospice was involved.
I was so very hurt. Never told DH, who had been giving them money for very many years.

They were no help to me either. Thank goodness for the district nurses and Hospice at Home who were wonderful.

MacMillan nurses were brilliant for DD1 during her breast cancer treatment.

Thank you so much for thinking of us FGT. You and himself seem to be in a good place at the moment. Sending love as always.

McMillan Nurses were not very helpful (or even nice!) when my Mum was in the late stages of her cancer diagnosis. I was so upset as I imagined it must be something we had done (or not done) that made them so very off-hand. At least I now know, thanks to some of the posts on this thread, that others have received the same treatment from them. Hard to believe that some are unhelpful and unsympathetic when dealing with families who are going through one of the worst times of their lives.
