The Kitchen is so busy, I don’t have a hope of catching up with everyone. Please be assured, I may not mention you all, but I do think of all my friends on here. ❤️
Blossoming what a lovely photo, I can almost feel the autumn air.
Thank you, Baggs for the news of our lovely Soop. I am glad her at-home needs are being addressed and I hope the transfusion peps her up.
I hope FGT’s lovely man has come through his new treatment with the minimum of side effects. It’s always daunting to be given a new, very powerful drug.
Redcar can you take ibuprofen? I swear by the long acting version which you can buy in shops. I find it works within 20-30 mins and you only need it twice a day. Obvs, it’s a no-no if you can’t tolerate ibuprofen, of course.
I hope all those with worries and concerns are seeing some daylight ahead. It’s a heavy load to have to carry with us.
Life has been busy here. Dh is keeping well enough in this period of stability in his illness, though I’m not sure he’ll ever be what he was. Ds1 hopes to begin a new immunotherapy trial soon. He was telling me that governmental funding for trials of new drugs and treatments has recently been withdrawn by R Kennedy/Trump’s administration so now patients are reliant on manufacturers and philanthropy to fund the search for cures for their diseases of all kinds.
My youngest GC was four the other day. He had a wild party when all 30-odd of his nursery classmates turned up!
Then we had a birthday tea with the family on his actual birthday, which was fun. We met up with friends from down south at the weekend, they were on a visit to Scotland. Tomorrow DS2 arrives for a few days so we’re being kept out of mischief, for sure!
