What Chocolate Bar should I purchase for my Tuesday treat?

Oh yes I remember those Madeleine I found this poster on the www of when it was launched in the 70’s?
and the flavours inside.

I remember those bars too Tilly and Madeleine but was never a fan of crème fillings. My mum loved them though.

Thinking of chocolate bars of yore I got thinking about the bars of Milk Tray. Remember those? Several different fillings in one bar. I liked the caramel one but hated the lime cordial … yuk.

I would have picked the lime cordial chocolates first from Milk Tray bar Grandmadinosaur 😀

I had just been thinking about that particular bar Grandmadinosaur it was my favourite at the time and it was the first thing I bought when sweet rationing ended.
I think the top of the square of chocolate was shaped like the individual chocolate was in the box.
I shall now have to Google when sweet rationing ended.

As I thought it was in 1953, my last year at school.
I had thought that I remembered I was still at school but couldn’t be sure.

Crunchy Bar is my favourite, but I can't remember the last time I bought one.

I'm sure Crunchie bars ruined my teeth when I was young!

I'm feeling very grown up. I've discovered that I'm finding milk chocolate just too sweet and actually preferring dark chocolate. Finally, I'm sophisticated!

Nothing but a good dark chocolate for me.

DD bought some chocolate that was so dark it was almost unpalatable. She left half a bar of it in the fridge.

I like Lindt Salted Caramel chocolate.
A Twix bar is fine.

Don't like Snickers or Bounty.

I've treated myself to an M n S dark chocolate marzipan bar. My favourite.

You should not buy any chocolate bars, they are full of calories, eat a beautiful fruit instead.

Not a chocolate bar but my daughter bought me last Xmas a bag of the the M&S Very Merry Munch which I tried not to polish off in one go! It's a mix of milk and white chocolate popcorn, dark chocolate pretzels, milk chocolate peanut clusters and caramel almonds. The 'gift' tins are £10 but I found the refill bag selling at £7 which is back on the shelves (they only put them out for Xmas :'( ).

A bit pricey but any of the Tony’s Chocolonely bars are delicious. Stocked by most of the big supermarkets e.g. Sainsbury’s, Asda.

I used to love all those mentioned but now find them far too sweet. I do enjoy a couple of squares of 85% choc occasionally. Now offer me a crisp and I’ll snatch your hand off.

Any decent white chocolate will do. If not then ice cream with white chocolate on.

I absolutely love Ritter Sport dark chocolate and hazelnut. Nuts are healthy aren't they? Even if you consume the whole bar in one sitting?

I would STRONGLY recommend Moser Roth from ALDI, the smooth milk chocolate - you get five individually wrapped bars. They do a nice dark mint choc one as well but this is my favourite. You cannot tell it apart from Lindt.

Toblerone, the HUGE one that ought to last at least a month but never does 🤣
