Well, the Guardian has just been awarded a significant sum of money in a court case brought by an actor.
The newspaper printed reports of this man using his position against women
He sued, and lost.
So, perhaps, sometimes the Guardian does defend women.
I won't dignify the " it's wet , or "sanctimonious" with a response.

One of the reasons that they risk financial loss is that they still allow use of their online news without charge, whereas others are behind a paywall. I admire them for this.

I was in the Dentist waiting room yesterday, without my phone, and picked up Woman and Home from May 2025.
It could have been 1975 easily.
I had a brief moment when I imagined a magazine aimed at women our age (60 - 90) as their idea of an older woman is aged about 50 and has appalling taste in clothes.

I still read the Grauniad but online with a donation. I buy a weekend paper when I have time to read it.

I won't be buying that sweatshirt. It looks awful.

I do think that facts are sacred, actually, especially in view of Mr Trump's active repression of facts he doesn't like.
I am astonished by the phrase deeply unpleasant phrase " deluded nonsense". I had an exchange of views on GN over a lie printed by The Telegraph, and was courteous enough to refer to these as " sloppy journalism".
I am not deluded, nor delusional if I choose to read The Guardian.
