Good Morning Everyone ,
A dark but dry start here in Brackley this morning.
Yesterdays appointment went OK , but I had a general check with letters ,followed by a photo taken of my eyes ,and then saw the optomo;ogist with a return in 6 months .
But along travelling wise .
Today usual bus to Bicester ,shop and chat to those I know.
Health OK
Take Care,
Mick

Morning, clear in S Hants, yes Pantglas I had a lovely couple of hours reminiscing, MrJ did look slightly bored toward the end of my recalling digging for rag worm! The photo is the view from Granny’s old cottage.
Happy holidays from those in warmer climes, our friends flew to Cyprus for three weeks yesterday.
Rather rude gMattie, I’d have been miffed.
Fingers crossed gBatty.
We’re off to my brothers for lunch today, no doubt he’ll mention our trip yesterday.
To those in dire straights 🌻

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Quite busy yesterday, the decorator started on the bedroom and I went to my usual lunchtime recital (two classical guitarists). There was an empty seat on the front row and I like being at the front. A woman made a fuss, saying she would be squashed, but reluctantly moved her bag. “Oh, you’re slim, that’s ok” she said when I sat down🙄

In the evening to an opera company rehearsal in the city. A bit worrying as we have a few concerts coming up, but little rehearsal time. I hoped to ease myself back in gently and keep a low profile, but the numbers are small. Had a drink afterwards with a few friends in the company, very sociable.

The plumber has finally replied and is coming today or tomorrow, heaven be praised.
Thoughts to FGT and all🌺

Good morning Mick and all GN's on a still dry but rather grey morning in North Yorkshire. It actually has not been a "good" morning, as I was just getting out of bed, with thoughts of getting the bedding in the washer etc and suddenly such horrible cramp in my thigh, that I couldnt help yelping and hope that I didnt wake my upstairs neighbour. Will have to apologise when I see him! It was incredibly painful and I literally could not even move the leg to ease it for quite a while. When it did ease off I had to carry on getting dressed, but thinking of every move I was making as had two more episodes just moving in a particular way. so much so that am still hobbling round with one sock on, as I darent risk putting the other one on so far!! So it has taken me some time to get going, but the washer is going full speed and I have cheered the morning by listening to Bach before 7. To cap it all caught my foot on something and made it bleed, so coupled with the normal aches and pains I am a bit of a walking wounded at the moment!

Whatever plans I had decided on for today will now be measured against the likelihood of more cramp and care taken to avoid dodgy movements. So got the washer going, and after I have done the normal housework stuff I must gird up the loins to try and blitz this wretched dresser stuff. It is going on for too long now, but the danger is that I just feel like chucking the rest of the paperwork and stuff away, but there are probably things like receipts or letters from the council etc that I do need to keep. It is still taking me time to remember that dustbin day is on a tuesday not a wednesday, so need my reminder calendar brought up to date. I usually put not only the actual date of appointments etc on the calendar on but often add a reminder for about a week before, that such and such an appointment is next week, to give me chance to get a bit more organised. Todays must do is to collect my prescription as am almost out of an important one. At the moment there is a bit of a difficulty. I am usually organised about prescription and order at the correct time, but over the last couple of months, there has been difficulty getting some things and so there have been times when I have been quite anxious especially re my diabetic tablets, when they have not had any in and it has got very close to having none left, so this makes you want to order a bit earlier to be sure of having enough tablets. But this practise wont let you order too early, so there can be a worrying few days when they are ringing around to try and get you what you need. Apart from that nothing I need in an urgent mode, so have no excuse to avoid the dresser stuff. Nothing exciting but quite happy to have an ordinary day, and try and sort some bits out.

Glad you had a good result yesterday Mick and hope you meet a few friends today.Pantglas just been reckoning up how long ago I was in roumania and Bulgaria and it was in 1964 or 65. At that time the roumanians were more open and prepared to speak to foreigners, but the bulgarians were obviously more worried about being seen consorting with the enemy and while never rude , were very chary about talking to you or spending time in your company. I enjoyed a lot of the countryside there but was never able to get at all close with any local people. Must be very different now. Sar53 Hope you are enjoying your day now. I only went down as far as Istanbul but loved it and wandering round the souk etc. remember the lovely Aya Sofia and we knew the consul and went to have lunch with them, where they had a very english looking green lawn in total contrast to the surrounding areas. Long time ago.Grandmabatty, hope that all goes well at the clinic and that the x ray is just a bit cloudy or difficult to read. Hope you can hear good news very soon and they check it quickly.

Well there are ominous sounds from the washer, lots of banging and knocking about. think the sheets might have got tangled into one big clump. It did that a while ago, so must investigate cautiously. dont want to open the door to a deluge of water.

Have a good day everyone

Good morning. A bright start here in N. Bucks.
I can’t decide what to do this morning, potter in the garden, go for a walk or a couple of inside jobs.
This afternoon is sewing group .
Thoughts with all of you dealing with health problems and worries . Wishing the best day possible for all.

Good morning all and another lovely day on the cards., ☀️.

Our lunchtime gathering with family was really good with nephew bringing his new girlfriend from Germany. What a delightful young lady. Pretty, chatty and easy to be with. I hope it’s a ‘keeper’. My db’s were in good form. 10 and 8 years older than us and are doing well. 🙏.

Dh and I were embarrassed when the time to pay up and share the bill came. We had neither cash or card on us.😳
He had given me his wallet to put in my bag and I swapped handbags at the last moment. 🤯. Db’s paid up and I transferred the money when I got home .🥰.

Today I have a Specsavers appointment to check up on my cataract op I had 6 weeks ago. I phoned them yesterday to see if I still needed to go as I had the hospital appointment last week for the glaucoma check up. Another cataract op due in a couple of weeks. ?. Yes I do need to go.! My poor eyes are fed up with being poked, prodded, and dripped on. Oh well ! Needs must.

How disappointing GM and very rude! After all your lovely work.
What a horrid man Marydoll. I’m glad you stood your ground. I’ve done this but then worry they will damage my car somehow. Let the tyres down or something. 😬.

Love to all who are struggling. Life can be so difficult at times , but we all soldier on, don’t we! 🙏

Good morning from sunny Lancashire. I’m about to have a shower before breakfast. Duncan is coming to see me early this morning so I must make myself beautiful grin. The stairlift chap is coming to see him at lunchtime and we’re hoping they will give us a date for the work to be done. I’ve no idea how long it will take to install.

Wishing you all a good day, whatever you’re doing.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny south coast. The heating came on for an hour though just to take the chill off.
I had a lovely meet up with my sis-in-law yesterday at Denmans garden then lunch in the restaurant. The dahlias were looking lovely in the sunshine. She is busy getting her large house and garden ready for sale having decided to downsize now she is on her own. Our lives have many similarities.
I will spend today in my own garden. This weather is too good to waste!
Hope everyone has the best day possible.

Sorry you have a recall Grandmabatty and hope it’s nothing to worry about.

Good morning everyone from another bright and sunny 🌞 day in Northampton. The bedding is in the washing machine; I also popped the peg bag in too as it was looking a bit grubby. (The pegs now residing in a plastic carrier.bag!).

Yesterday was lovely too, though feeling quite autumny and chilly. Had a lovely book club, with fresh cream Victoria sponge while we had our book chat!

A morning of pottering and tidying, think I will damp dust the bedrooms, clean the bathroom and possibly take the Shark upstairs. A Sainsbury's delivery due late morning.
Then this afternoon I am expecting British Gas to arrive to give the boiler its annual check-up. If he comes early I shall cut the front grass and then trim the Portuguese laurel before it gets too big.
I unexpectedly still have a portion of chicken soup left so that will be dinner (again!) tonight.

Wishing all a pleasant day.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
All dressed ready and nowhere to go.
My car is just too noisy to risk driving to the yoga class which isn't on a bus route, so I asked a friend to take me only to find she's about to have a back tooth out - her first extraction ever.

Plenty to be getting on with.
That beautiful quilt gMattie!! Take it back and say you have a waiting list if she doesn't love it. 😉

Marydoll that's awful. What a horrid man.

Beautiful photos again. Thanks everyone.

Some old friends called unexpectedly yesterday so I took them to the community lunch where they met some of our great locals. They then came back to mine for a rather long catch-up.

Thinking of FGT and himself.

I hope everyone has some joy today.

Grandmabatty I hope everything is ok🙏🏻💐

Sadly it doesn’t seem so brook. Our friend recently sustained the unexplained injury of a fractured wrist, the two safeguarding referrals submitted by medical professionals are in the pipeline. She does have very fragile bones and of course it could have been accidental. Her records have been falsified on many occasions. Sadly dementia means she is often unable to communicate clearly. We’ve been friends for 72 years. I often weep for her and her daughter who has her own health issues.

Morning all from a sunny Ashford Kent. Heating came on during the night so it’s cold. Marydoll just a thought - with a blue badge could you park in the ARC?
Had a Zoom meeting with the PMRGCA support group yesterday. First experience of a multi participant (21) screen. Chairwoman announced we have one hour and fifteen minutes and then let introductions go on for 25! She planned for three questions and let the first one go on for another 25minutes. At this point I am silently shouting ‘get on with it’. 25 years of training people on how to run efficient meetings came to the fore! The meeting is monthly so I will attend the next couple and make a decision as to whether I continue or only go to the local get together. My patience was sorely tried.
DH is on night shift this week so very quiet during the day as he sleeps and lonely at night. I really don’t sleep well when he isn’t around. Don’t know if that’s romantic or sad - we have been married over 33 years.
I’m envious of all the holiday snaps - I can’t travel anymore due to balance issues. I was invited to Jerez de la Frontera in November but I cannot imagine travelling alone with two walking sticks and a wheelie bag. Assistance at the airport would be fine but it’s the getting there and the other side. I usually arrive in Seville so that’s a bus and train to Jerez. After the awful year I’ve had, a week in the sun would be such a tonic. Ah well, best just to get on with it.
Have a good day all!

GM You seem such a lovely lady. Maybe the woman had received some bad news or wasn't feeling well.
