DH & I always have sweets in the car pocket, my favourites are Werther's Original and he likes boiled fruit sweets. What are your favourites?

Licquorice AllSorts for me too please!

We have Werther’s toffees for when there is a thunderstorm. My gparents used to give me three creamline toffees when there was a storm and say that the storm would be gone by the time I’d finished the toffees. They were right - and now I do the same with the Werthers with my Gchn.

Forget my pervious post. I must give a shout out to Turkish Delight. Not the rose and lemon, but the hazelnut or pistachio and walnut. The authentic Turkish flavours.

DH always liked sweets on long car journeys. Werthers for him and fruit gums for me….I’m a cheap date! 😂😂

I've just thought of Smarties, I could sit and eat a whole tube in one go, they are very moorish.

Guylian seahorse and seashell chocs. Lidl seems to have got some sort of licence to market them as a loss leader so their much cheaper but just as good .....for my palate. Sadly those sold under the brand name have shrunk, sadly....and cost much more.

'they're not 'their' ..... Couldn't get preview to work!

For the car, my favourite of all times were Halters coffee sweets, now discontinued. Has anyone found any other good coffee sweets?

Aniseed balls and Mr. Tom (nut brittle bar).

Have been diabetic for 12 years so eat no sweets now just plain chocolate sometimes. My favourites before were jelly beans and chocolate eclairs or lemon bonbons. Sherbet lemons made my tongue really sore

I love these too, and at Christmas I find that Lidl do lots of really nice Christmassy sweet things, German style iced gingerbreads, and chocolate covered marzipan bars. Not just the usual choccies.

I don't really have a very sweet tooth, but I do love dark chocolate and anything marzipan, but when it comes to actual 'sweets'. my late MiL used to love a chocolate eclair, especially the Werthers' ones, but you don't see them as often as the normal Werthers. They were nice.

Licquorice but only small quantities, very good for constipation!

Sainsbury's rhubarb and custard are absolutely delicious!
