Brilliant actress, I loved everything she did and thought she was hilarious with her husband in the canal series!

RIP Sybill.

Like others enjoyed their canal series a testament to the strength of their devotion throughout their long marriage. I was sorry to read of Timothy West's death recently as I am to read of Prunella Scales today. A great couple from the world of acting.

Aww that's sad. She was brilliant as Sybil Fawlty. Her son Sam plays a great part in All Creatures. RIP Pru. xx

Such a talented actress. Sybil Fawlty is immortal.
I also loved her narrow boat series with the lovely Timothy.
RIP Prunella.

I agree especially the way she carried on acting despite her dementia poor dear. I also think their son is also a great actor who has obviously taken after his parents.

I loved her as the Queen (Elizabeth 11) in Alan Bennett’s play A Question of Attribution.

What a lovely lady, regardless of her talent on stage & screen, RIP Prunella.

Saw them both in 2010 opening a newly restored section of canal just above Gloucester. My daughter was a photographer working locally and invited me along. She said the press had been told not to address any specific questions to her, only to him. This was some time before it was announced that she had Alzheimers. Nevertheless they were a charming couple on the day. RIP Tim and Prunella.

I was so sad to hear this. It doesn't make any difference how old a person is when they die - it is still sad. But she had a long and seemingly happy marriage so it appears to have been a good life.

She was wonderful in Fawlty Towers,
