I loved her, so funny and vibrant, I remember her and a young John Alderton in Upstairs Downstairs. But of course she is best known and loved for being the inimitable Shirley Valentine.

I saw her onstage in 'The Importance of Being Earnest' a very long time ago. She was a lovely, sensitive actress. RIP

Oh goodness. Ridiculously in my head she was in her sixties. I didn't know she had parkinsons disease. I am sad to hear that.

I remember her in Upstairs Downstairs and vaguely in The Liver Birds. I thought she was an excellent actress

She never seemed to age. How sad that she has died.

Quite recently I enjoyed her in Mrs Caldicot’s Cabbage War and of course Shirley Valentine.

I remember her in Upstairs Downstairs as naughty Sarah .
I liked her in Shirley Valentine .
And I recently saw her as the hapless Clara in No Honestly .
