Thank you as always to our treasured benefactor soop.
Hot chocolate and warm muffins await, cushions plumped and fire stoked.

Hello kitchen people.

That’s lovely news FGT2! 🪻🪻🪻

Can I just say that after my fainting shenanigans, terrible cramps and being horribly sick, my colonoscopy went well. It wasn’t too uncomfortable and they found nothing sinister. I am pleased and relieved.

Sleep 💤 tight.

Grandmadinosaur Wed 26-Nov-25 21:46:45

Good news. It much be such a relief for you LLFL

kittylester Wed 26-Nov-25 21:53:53

Brilliant news fgt. I am sooo pleased for you.

Well done on surviving your colonoscopy llfl and glad to hear there was nothing to see.

Sending love to everyone in this lovely place.

GrandmaC47 Wed 26-Nov-25 22:07:42

A good result for you, llfl. Now relax.

Georgesgran Wed 26-Nov-25 22:13:13

Some good news tonight in the kitchen.
Always thinking of the soops and hope they are warm and comfortable at home.

Redcar Wed 26-Nov-25 22:29:36

Great to hear that you and Himself are home fgt! llfl I’m pleased that you survived the colonoscopy and that nothing nasty was found!
utbb what a time to be delivering parcels! I had one from Amazon at 9.30 on Sunday evening and wasn’t sure if I should open the door. He was quite apologetic about the time.
Night night everyone.

Grandmabatty Wed 26-Nov-25 22:32:31

I'm really glad that 'himself' is home fgt. And very relieved for you llfl. Pleasant dreams all.

TillyTrotter Wed 26-Nov-25 22:39:08

More pleasing news. llfl
These intrusive ‘oscopies’ are not pleasant but you must feel so relieved to be told “nothing sinister” afterwards.

cornergran Wed 26-Nov-25 22:44:46

Such good news fgt. Sleep well tonight.

Good news for you too ladylfl, although I’m sorry you had such a horrible preparation time.

You sound worried and fed up yia. I hope there can be treatment for your husband.

Sleep well everyone.

Dear dragonfly how sad I am to read your update.
I thought your H was just taking his time to get over his surgery.
I hope your fears are unfounded.

So sorry to read your post Dragonfly.
Sending love and strength to you.
Happier news for LLFL & FGT. And relaaaax.
We had lovely cuddles last night with DGC and we have just got home this morning. We shall also relax before the rush starts again on Saturday!
Have a good day everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 27-Nov-25 13:54:19

Pleased your dear man is back with you FGT2 😘

Dragonfly sorry your DH is struggling, it is a huge worry for you. It must be comforting for you to have your children with you (((hugs)))

I have had a funny sort of morning, wasting time until I go to my friends ‘0’ birthday lunch, 12 ladies, I am anticipating much chatter, laughter and fizz 🥂🎂🎉

I have written my Christmas cards, after culling my list dramatically. Then I have gone early and started decorating the house. Candle bridges are in all front windows, wooden advent tree in the kitchen. Sorted Christmas bedding, in the appropriate bedrooms ready to be put on. Christmas throws and cushions in sitting room.

(Can you guess I just love Christmas 🎄🤶)

SueDonim Thu 27-Nov-25 14:13:53

I’m busy trying to catch up on everyone’s news. Thank you for all the kind thoughts that have been sent my way. ❤️

I hope Mr FGT had a good sleep in his own bed last night!
Glad your test went well, LLFL.
flowers Dragonfly, that must be a hard pill to swallow.

Parcels are getting delivered here, too. All the men are getting jumpers for Christmas whether they want them or not! I’ve had to send away for many because the chaps in our family are all so tall and few shops keep stock of longer versions of clothing. I think I’m going to put up some outside decorations on 1st Dec. I’ve never done it this early before but I think people are desperate for something cheerful in life. I’m leaving indoors for now in the hopes the sittingroom will be painted before Xmas, although maybe that’s a pipe dream.

We’ve been doing our usual routine of childcare and so on. It’s GD’s birthday tomorrow and she’s very excited about it. No party this year, just a family gathering. I’m about to go out the dump - sorry, recycling centre - with a load of cardboard and to post some bits and pieces. It’s windy but not as cold as earlier this week.

Dinner will be made from various items found lurking in the freezer - a lucky dip meal!

TOYA. Xxx

dragonfly I’m so sorry that your DH is making such slow progress but pleased you have your family with you for support.
I’m at DD1’s today, keeping the dog company while they’re in the office. I think that DSil has got away early and is on his way home. He’ll collect the granddaughters from school and then drive me home. (I hope)
I have parcels arriving today, despite my telling the courier company to deliver tomorrow when I’ll be there!
Have a pleasant afternoon everyone.
Enjoy your lunch grannygravy

Dragonfly hope you have better news soon.

Jaxjacky Thu 27-Nov-25 21:34:06

dragonfly I do hope you have better news in the next few days, I’m pleased you’re not on your own.
A dull, drizzly day, quick trip to the village today, dropped in a raffle donation to the pub for the Christmas draw, it’ll be a busy Christmas Eve. I was supposed to be collecting our Christmas tree with my daughter after her school day - she forgot, busy, working single Mum, she was excused, we’re going tomorrow.
Happy two more parcels delivered on time and intact!

mamaa Thu 27-Nov-25 21:52:55

Hello all, have been reading most days but what with one thing and another I’ve not found time to post. However I didn’t want to scroll by tonight without sending my thoughts to Dragonfly with hope that better news will be given soon.
It was good to read that MrFGT is back home and hopefully will begin to build up his strength again under the caring ministrations of MrsFGT
Thoughts to any other kitcheners with worries or anxiety for whatever reason and hope they are fleeting.
No real news from Mamaa Mansion- this morning though was an early start for us as the grandchildren were dropped off at ours at 7.30 as Daddy had an early start and so couldn’t get them to school- which we did an hour later! Thankfully it wasn’t too cold or raining!

Good evening dear Kitcheners. I’m still here in the quiet corner, I’m struggling at the moment, trying to balance the conflicting demands of CKD and hyponatremia. I have no energy, MrB and I are keeping to our daily routine but I’m wiped out by teatime. I have a phlebotomist appointment tomorrow, once I get the results I’m hoping I can make some progress.

Sending love to you all
