Blossoming 🌹
gentle hugs for blossoming and dragonfly. I hope tomorrow brings a positive for you both. Thinking of you and everyone finding life hard going.
Goodness we’re in a things are breaking phase. A dehumidifier, two timers, now the computer which had to go to the computer magician today. Nothing to do with us touching it a watch went cor a new battery. The glass fell off in the process and the technician couldn’t put it back. It’s gone to a repairer, just hope I get it back!
One of those phases.
Hopefully settling for sleep now. Night night everyone.
Love and prayers for Dragonfly and Blossoming, 💕🙏🕯 happy news from the FGTs and Ladyleftfieldlover.
I had a bit of a drama yesterday, woke from my sofa siesta feeling quite off, headache, dizzy, nauseous...to cut a very long story short, my living room fire has been sending carbon monoxide into the house. I called the emergency service who were excellent, called my gp who told me to go to A and E. My kind sister drove me and later took me home to hers. Our younger sister stayed in my house, with various gas workers and doors and windows open. I saw my GP this morning for follow up, she checked me out, all is well. I'm feeling a good bit better, just tired and queasy. My carbon monoxide level is now acceptable. I've had a quiet day at home, lots of calls and texts from family and friends, video call with the Wee Boy, I'm not 'allowed' to drive through there tomorrow, it's an hour each way.
I was quite emotional last night, I'm very thankful that I managed to rouse myself from what seemed to be a comfy cosy nap... the fire was serviced in March, everything was fine.
Wishing everyone a peaceful night's sleep, TOYA, NNGB.
Goodness Grannmarie that’s very frightening, thank goodness you woke up, I'm very pleased you’re ok. Sounds like an excellent response from all the support services.
Ah Blossoming glad to hear from you, not so to hear that you’re struggling, I hope your blood test can move treatment forwards.
Safe journey to Brook and her husband off to Cambridge, enjoy family time 🙂.
Grannmarie that sounds easily could have been a tragedy! I'm glad you are ok.
Thank you, Grandmabatty, you're right, the What ifs are terrifying. It makes me even more thankful to wake up to a new day, each and every one is very precious. DDIL2 is planning to take me to look at replacement electric fires, I'm too nervous about gas now.
I hope you had a better sleep last night, Grandmabatty. Glad to hear that DGS2 got his stooky off!
Safe travels to Cambridge, brook, enjoy your DGS'S birthday celebrations.
Wishing everyone the best Friday possible, TOYA.
Goodness me Grannmarie that sounds awful. I hope you feel ok now.
Gingster, what a shame about your cottage - sounds a sensible idea though. Life changes in all sorts of ways doesn't it?
Oh dear, Grannmarie, that sounds scary for you. I hope you are feeling more yourself now.
Enjoy your visit to your family in our part of the country, brook.
Warm hugs & caring thoughts to soop & all in this friendly place. x
Granmarie get a carbon monoxide detector, they are not overly expensive, worth every penny.
Pleased you are feeding better.
Take care Blosdoming 🌸
I’m glad you’re feeling better grannmarie that could have been disastrous for you.
blossoming sorry you’re unwell again, I hope the blood tests can shed some light on your condition and that treatment is available.
gingster so sorry that you are having to sell your sea-side escape but I hope it will make life a little less stressful for you and your family.
Thank you Jaxjacky, Kitty and Gillgran. I am feeling much better now. I'm drinking lots of water and eating prunes and apples, hoping that speeds up 'elimination' of any toxins left in my body. Sorry, TMI!!🤣
You're right, Jax, the national emergency service was great, the man came quickly, shut off all gas, established that there was carbon monoxide in the house, checked every room and the loft, checked my adjoining neighbours' house, advised me to go to A and E, as did my GP surgery when I phoned them for advice. He also arranged for the Gas board to come and reconnect the gas later in the evening so that I could have heating, hot water and hob again. Fire is 'capped off'.
My after effects are more emotional than physical now. I saw a box of Walnut Whips in the supermarket today, I always put some in DH'S stocking, he was very fond of a Walnut whip... well I just filled up, and wandered round the aisles with the tears tripping me! My sister has invited me round to hers, her DiL is visiting with the wee ones, that will lift my spirits.
Thinking of our dear Soops, and all with illness, worries or sorrow. TOYA.
Granmarie glad you are ok what a frightening thing to happen you will feel safer with a electric fire.
Lovely to hear from you blossoming sorry you are not too well.
Dragonfly I am sorry to read your Oh is not progressing
Fgt and llfl good news .

Thank you, Grannygravy and Redcar. I have a carbon monoxide detector but I didn't hear it, I was in such a deep, groggy sleep. I now have two new ones fitted by the gas board upstairs and downstairs. I think I need new hearing aids too!
Thank you, Hulahoop, hope you're doing OK.
What a nightmareGrannmarie thank goodness you woke up ,look after yourself now.💐

Hello all, just catching up here, slight health blip, very trivial, but enough to keep me quiet for a day or so.
Shocked to hear Grannmaries news, that could have been so serious but you are ok now.
Yia so sorry that you are not ok.
Along with all others you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
My friend across the road is annoying me, nothing new really but I am tired of her entitlement, I will get over it.
We had a tremendous hail storm this morning, it came out of nowhere and after 10 minutes disappeared in the same way and we had blue sky.
It is chilly but not cold.
I set out to write some posting cards on Tuesday, could I find them?
Disappeared who knows where.
I ordered some online from Marie Curie, one box arrived yesterday with the others due on Sunday, how does that work?
Will start to think about a meal, sadly no appetite but must eat something.
Enjoy your evening if you can.
Sorry to hear you are not in a good place Yiayia sending hugs.
Hope you feel better soon Usedtobeblonde.
I have some news- they are trying to get a bed in rehab for DH. I hope it is not too far away but it would seem that progress is being made.
That's a bit more positive dragonfly
dragonfly better news
Take care
More positive news Dragonfly I hope it works for you all.
Gosh Grannmarie what a terrifying experience. So glad you woke up and got help, no wonder you’re feeling emotional now.
That sounds more positive Dragonfly, hope he’s not too far away.
Glad to hear your DH is home FGT2.
Thinking of our dear Soop and MrSoop.
My bloods were duly extracted and sent off to the lab, now to wait for the results. My blood pressure is 106/64 so no worries on that front. In the meantime I’m still toddling along with the support of my beloved. We’ve had some wild weather recently but I’m all prepared for it with my big coat and my red wellies
Look after yourselves dear Kitcheners, you make this place special ♥️
