I keep being asked what I would like but I don’t really know! I don’t need ‘stuff’ and I don’t want tat. I wouldn’t mind some compost ready for spring though. How about anyone else?

I very much doubt I will be given anything. Again. Nor for my birthday on Sunday.
It’s very hurtful and I try not to be upset.

That's sad. Happy birthday to you for Sunday.

I would really like a magical catering company to waft in and do all the cooking, including shopping and clearing up, from 20th December to, say, Boxing Day. So that I can spend time enjoying being with my grandchildren instead of clearing up in the kitchen all day and every day.

I’d like all 10 people who are supposed to come for Xmas to be well enough to come and not to be just recovering from a major operation or due to go into hospital for one. We’ve had some disappointing and worrying Christmases recently and I’d love a peaceful one this year.

Just to see everyone as planned, and that they all keep well. This latest flu is a bummer.
Are you an artist foxie? Don't answer that, if it is intrusive.

Can I recommend Garnier Intensive 7 Days Shea Butter Body Lotion Dry Skin, 400ml?
You can get it in most supermarkets or online at “that big online store “ It’s cheap, but works extremely well, I can’t rate it highly enough.

Peace on earth and goodwill to all men (and women)! However, as I'm unlikely to get that and I know my request to not be bought presents will be ignored by the family except by OH, I'll settle for a really good moisturising body lotion. My skin is getting quite fragile, particularly on my lower arms so I am getting through body lotions by the bucketful. I'd also like some really good quality watercolour paper in a large size but tbh I don't really trust anyone else to buy that. It's my birthday on boxing day so I'll get more gifts then and I really don't need anything!

anything from Clinique including their Happy perfume, It is so expensive and I go through it rather quickly.
Cheese, fruit, nuts, fresh figs and dates all of which I love. I much prefer things I can use or eat to anything else. Definitely do not need any more clutter nor jewellery.

A magic wand to end cruelty to people and animals, and for the madness that's going on in the UK and around this beautiful world to end. Oh and a new religon called the Religon of the good heart that everyone followed. I think then all this hate and killing would end. Just off to talk to the fairies in my garden now!

My health back

I am sure the OP did not expect to have answers about world peace etc. why does every thread have to become serious, it was meant I am sure as just a bit of fun or perhaps some suggestions for her. Why ask for things no one can give you as much as you wish for them. We all have a massive list of those.
Sadly no one has a magic wand.

For Trump and Putin to retire and find a nice little hobby.
A house in the Lake District…

JamesandJon33 Thu 18-Dec-25 06:45:31

I would like something other for Trump and Putin.

A private free physiotherapist .
And a cat sitter who would stay here while I go off to see the Spanish Ruding School in Vienna.

I would like something other for Trump and Putin.

Not forgetting Netanyahu and a couple of relevant African leaders as well (thinking Sudan).

I'd throw in some wishes re Starmer as well (in his case settling for peacefully removing him from being PM).

Granddog36 Thu 18-Dec-25 12:28:06

A new shed, new eyes, new feet, magic chocolate which is non-fattening, as I never touch it! Also some Demerara sugar cubes, and WORLD PEACE!

I would like a decision as to when the family will actually be coming on the 25th. They’re all coming here for meals and presents but the plans keep changing. It’s driving me mad. First it’s Christmas dinner at 1 then presents and games and walk the dogs (their dogs, we don’t have any). Then it’s a light lunch, walk the dogs, presents and a late Christmas dinner. Then it’s arriving after the 3pm dog walk, back for dinner and presents afterwards. I’m cooking. And ordering the food. And going a bit crazy. Happens every year, usually works but this year there are more ponderables in the mix. Am I too soft because I don’t want to upset anyone? There will be 12 people. Probably. And two dogs, 1 vegan, 2 veggies and the rest will eat anything luckily. That’s what I would like. A decision.
