Morning all from West Oxfordshire,

Yesterday’s U3A lunch club Christmas lunch was fun. Around 20 of us gathered in a favourite restaurant. My only gripe - I don’t like red cabbage or Brussels, but there they are on every festive plate of food!

I am having my roots done today and a cut. I’m still not ready to go grey.

Have a good day. Thinking of the FGT2S and hoping all is well.

Good Morning from a barely light Durham. Last night’s rain has left everything saturated. Driving home after midnight (child minding) was tricky!
I’ve an empty, so I can please myself today. The house could do with a good clean, so I’ll put some tunes on and work through, room by room.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Dark still.

I woke tired from a poor night and have lots to do today.

What an uplifting story about DH gagagran.
Wow! gMattie what a compliment. You could have your own TV show. Our very own Mary Berry.

Seriously though, it's nice to be appreciated 👏

I have 2 past students coming to lunch so must make a soup before I head out to Yoga.

My car is making noises again, another worry.
I delivered a carload of books to charity yesterday and perhaps those encyclopaedia volumes were just too heavy.

I hope your journey goes well Ash
And that you shake off your virus soon brook.

Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Good morning from a damp , dull N .Bucks.
Later this morning as didn’t get home until 1.30 this morning and slept in after having trouble getting my feet warm for some reason.
DH has a delivery to make and I’ve some jobs to do including bed changing.
This afternoon we are visiting my Sister in Law. She will be spending Christmas at her daughters. This is her first Christmas since my brother died which was on the 28th December . So, a difficult one for us all.
Haven’t read all your news yet but wish you all a good day worth a smile along the way.

Morning from a damp S Hants, I slept well.
Good to see you Gagagran a welcome bright post for a dull day.
I was home yesterday by about 6pm, so good to be back, today will be moving about the house, exercises and catching up on TV!
What an accolade GMattie!
You must be disappointed brook but the right decision.
I hope you all have a pleasant day.

Awaiting the arrival of my lovely hairdresser and then need to decide how to spend the day. This wretched virus is still hanging about although the cough is less awful so maybe will recruit my strength for an assault on the supermarket tomorrow. I left it too late to book a pre-Christmas delivery so have only myself to blame but wish I felt more enthusiastic.

Well done, gM, my mincemeat recipe comes from DH’s GGM who was the cook in a big house. It is idiot-proof and simple and keep well - just add a slug of brandy to last year’s or the year before’s. Well done Marydoll too; dealing with the dim is such hard work but it helps when you know you are in the right, as you are.

Good morning from a dull and damp Shropshire.

A dramatic night as my sensor went off at 2am to warn my blood sugars were low(very).I took glucose but still low so DH very kindly made me tea and toast which I really didn’t feel like eating.Eventually my bloods were at a decent level so felt I could go back to sleep. All well this morning, just feel a bit washed out.Not sure why it happened as normally well controlled and no problems🤷‍♀️

We managed to do our Christmas shopping yesterday so will wrap the presents today and deliver local cards.

Good to see you back Gagagran and so good to hear your husband is now well.

Congratulations to grandMattie and also to Marydoll on doing the right thing 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼I am glad the PP realises his mistake.

Glad you are home Jax and wish you a full and speedy(maybe not too speedy) recovery.

I hope all suffering from this wretched virus start to feel better soon and as ever thoughts with our dear FGT and Himself.

Wishing everyone the best day possible🌻🦩🎅🏼🎄

Good morning all. Today I retire and join you all as an official retired being! It’s going to be emotional as I leave my post if twenty four years but a new chapter awaits. My new classroom will be my little reading room and my garden. Weather permitting. I’ve had the wobbles over retiring but now feel ready to embrace it! Wish me luck!

Good morning all. Dry and calm at the moment in Glasgow but heavy rain is forecast to arrive soon.

A visit to DD1’s yesterday to meet the two new (kittens) family members. Both GDs are besotted with them after losing both their cats this year. They are rag doll breed, tottie wee balls of fur and so entertaining. Hairdressers this afternoon for a trim but nothing else on the cards, a do as I please day.

I remember you gaggagran. Lovely to see you back and what wonderful news for you and your DH.
GM you could possible make a fortune selling your recipe to Waitrose.
Get well, soon brook what a disappointment for you.
Pleased .to hear you are back home Jax, speedy recovery.

Best wishes to all for a good day.
