It’s unlikely that the TV will be switched on for us on the day but if it was Mrs Brown would not be on the list.

It is IMHO just not in the slightest bit funny.

Who watches it?

Do you find it funny AIBU?

Septimia Fri 19-Dec-25 18:22:14

We don't find it funny either.

HowVeryDareYou2 Fri 19-Dec-25 18:28:12

I think it's absolute drivel

welbeck Fri 19-Dec-25 18:30:17

My v clever cousin loves it so I tried.
Once was enough. And not one whole episode.
Horrible.

Grandmadinosaur Fri 19-Dec-25 18:36:02

How it keeps getting recommissioned is beyond me. Total rubbish.

Kate1949 Fri 19-Dec-25 18:36:39

I used to find it funny but it's gone off the boil now.

pably15 Fri 19-Dec-25 18:39:40

I quite liked it at the begining, but not now

I’ve seen bits here and there, the actor who plays Mrs Brown does it very well and has good comic timing but the other characters have little to recommend them I thought.

ViceVersa Fri 19-Dec-25 18:42:07

It's absolute drivel. I have no idea how it's lasted this long. Does anyone actually find it in the least bit funny?

Bukkie Fri 19-Dec-25 18:43:21

Totally agree it's rubbish and I am baffled why it keeps getting recommissioned when good programmes are axed. A few years ago we liked a comedy called Scarborough and it didn't get a second series.

Oreo Fri 19-Dec-25 18:45:03

It’s no Father Ted for sure.

BlueBelle Fri 19-Dec-25 18:45:29

I m with you Kate haven’t seen it for a long while but used to think it was hilarious but it’s done it all now and gets a bit samey but the first year or two I really used to belly laugh at it but you know what’s coming now so it’s past it’s sell by date

Same here. DH and I used to laugh out loud at some of the early episodes but I never watch it now.

JamesandJon33 Fri 19-Dec-25 19:45:01

Never was inclined to watch it. I found the advertisements for it singularity silly. A good friend absolutely loved it.

harrysgran Fri 19-Dec-25 19:47:57

Liked it in the beginning however can't stand it now boring not funny

Scribbles Fri 19-Dec-25 19:50:23

I tried to watch it once, during the second series after a friend recommended it. What a load of twaddle! Didn't make it to yhe end of the episode and never tried again.

MayBee70 Fri 19-Dec-25 19:51:58

I can’t say that I watch the tv show but did go to see it live at the theatre a few years ago and it was pure pantomime with lots of ad lib’ing. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Iam64 Fri 19-Dec-25 20:09:00

It’s horrible
So is/was Little Britain

keepingquiet Fri 19-Dec-25 20:12:15

Not for me either- I have watched it when it first started but the humour became purient and over worked. I haven't watched it for years. It must just be cheap to make.

Deedaa Fri 19-Dec-25 20:21:20

The few bits I've seen look like a resurrected 1960s show.

Kate1949 Fri 19-Dec-25 20:22:59

I don't know if it's because I'm from an Irish family but I used to love it but not now.

Crossstitchfan Fri 19-Dec-25 20:24:09

Like others, I used to like it but it has lost its spark now. The tv expletives should learn and accept that they can’t keep showing programmes just because they USED to be funny. Every dog has its day.

Crossstitchfan Fri 19-Dec-25 20:25:44

Tv executives, not expletives! (Freudian slip maybe?)

LauraNorderr Fri 19-Dec-25 20:35:27

Awful programme like so much that passes for comedy these days.

Aveline Fri 19-Dec-25 20:47:50

It's quite shocking to see on the BBC in 2025. Just dreadful.
