Mine is Stop The Cavalry (Jonah Lewie?)
I know lots of people really dislike it but I find myself humming it when it’s played on the radio.

I like Last Christmas by Wham and really love Fairy Tale of New York.

Maremia Sun 21-Dec-25 16:09:05

Yes, Fairy Tale of New York. I like the contrast.

Nothing can beat Wham's Last Christmas for me. I read that Kylie has knocked them off the top spot for Christmas after many years. I have never liked her rather nasal singing voice, and find her new Christmas song very repetitive and boring.

Maremia Sun 21-Dec-25 16:19:17

Was that the one she sang on Strictly?

Maggie37 Sun 21-Dec-25 16:22:30

Kenny Rogers. Children go where I send thee

I like ..Elvis singing Blue Christmas,,

Casdon Sun 21-Dec-25 16:48:52

Let it Snow sung by Dean Martin. I like the fifties and sixties rat pack Christmas songs altogether, my second favourite is Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Frank Sinatra version. My most recent favourite is Tom Jones and Cerys Matthews singing Baby it’s cold outside.

Grandmabatty Sun 21-Dec-25 16:51:09

Greg Lake, I believe in Father Christmas.

Feliz Navidad - the video, with the African lads dancing to it. 🕺🏻 🕺🏻 🕺🏻

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sun 21-Dec-25 17:02:14

“Baby it’s cold outside” now has connotations of coercion - apparently - and is on the norty step.

Fallingstar Sun 21-Dec-25 17:06:01

White Christmas by Bing. Timeless.

TillyTrotter Sun 21-Dec-25 17:07:17

Delila Sun 21-Dec-25 17:23:31

Madgran77 Sun 21-Dec-25 17:26:46

Fairy Tale of New York

ginny Sun 21-Dec-25 17:44:57

I like a lot of Christmas so gasoline difficult to chose a favourite.
I am quite surprised that so many love Fairy Tale of New York. We sing it in our choir and I hate it.
It is really a sad story and I usually think I’d like to leave the room when we get to it in the programme.
