Hello Mick and GNs from an occasional poster on the East Sussex coast. Grey but fine here with some sort of fierce arctic winds attacking my little hill town.

Out to lunch with friends on Christmas Day but this afternoon I will be choosing the wines and making the dessert to take with me. It will be baked winter fruits from a Cranks recipe book - always delicious and not too fattening (but when you add cream ??!).

Thinking of all, especially those like me who wish that their beautiful special one was still alive. Best wishes x.

good afternoon from a breezy and chilly poole - the sun was out earlier but it seems to have disappeared now.
i did go out earlier to pick up my christmas dinner ordered from a local restaurant. should be good and easy to prepare.
i then braved tesco to pick up some bits and pieces i forgot yesterday.
now i've got enough food to last me for a fortnight at least! apart from milk and bread that is.
i hope everyone has a very happy christmas whether with friends and/or relations or, like me, doing a solo christmas.

Really.! It’s just another day.

So much fuss about food, food and more food.

My Dd is a food fanatic and not looking forward to seeing her tomorrow as she stresses about food the whole time.
It does somewhat spoil it for us as we are not foodies.

A lovely sunny day here in Worcestershire.
A bit behind with things as our electricity went off for a few hours again yesterday. Anything that needed electricity got moved to today's list.
Family arriving soon and what's not done by the time they arrive won't be getting done!
Then I'll start again on Boxing day when the next lot arrive.
Merry Christmas. X

Be gracious, Greciangirl, if just for a couple of days.

Some here would love to be fussed over by a DD and her cooking for them.

And no, for many of us, it's NOT 'just another day'.

Don't spoil things for other people.

Happy Christmas to all.

One hundred pigs in blankets has made me laugh.

And on another thread a poster said one year she made a mistake with the online order and received one sprout.
That would be so funny if a poster had 100 PIB and one sprout!!!

A very Happy Christmas to all on Gansnet and a very healthy and peaceful New year.
I know that many of you have had illness, loss of loved ones and troubles as have I, and hope that next year will be a better one for everyone.
My blessings to you all from

Merry Christmas to you all. It's just after noon on Christmas Eve here. We had snow last week and the temperature has dropped below freezing, so the 6" of snow will stay until the weekend. Lovely for the little ones off school to go sledding. We also have humpback whales and great gangs of sea lions visiting our harbour chasing after herring. They have put on quite a show for us when we go for a walk in the afternoon along the waterfront trail.

I've got a bit of last minute wrapping, then peeling veg and setting the table for tomorrow. The family comes over around 11 for Christmas lunch. We count ourselves lucky to have some family in town, and we will facetime visit with my daughter and family who live down south.

I hope you all have a peaceful and joyful day tomorrow. Hugs to those that are feeling bereaved or lonely.
