You’re in very good company soop, I’m sure I’m not the only GNetter who does presently know what they’re doing. Got half way up the stairs to only forget what I was going up for! 🙄😂

Astitchintime Tue 30-Dec-25 12:58:03

That should be DOES’NT ……see……I am losing the plot here.

Hello soop. Nice to see you posting again.

Arrrrgh!!!! I feel such a silly old wotsit. The tablet is a gift from Mr Soop, my son helped to get me started and now that he's elsewhere to celebrate "the bells" for the next couple of days, his Mum is all of a dither. However, because You lovely lot have been kind enough to welcome me back into our kitchen, I feel duty bound to perch on the chair at our computer to thank you for remembering me after a very, very long absence.

I cannot recall when I last spent time with you. I shall endeavor to slowly but surely join you on a regular basis.

When my son returns from Oban He will grit his teeth (gently) and give me more lessons on my pristine tablet.

soop Tue 30-Dec-25 14:36:57

Since returning home from hospital, Mr Soop has been my chief carer. The cancer has resulted in my spine being bent to such a degree I find it difficult to walk beyond a few paces. A carer comes in during the morning to wash and dress me. I have two lady carers and one male together with two MacMillan nurses and our GP who supervise the medication regime...24 tablets per day and Oramorph if and when I need strong pain killers. Everyone is kindness personified.

The weather today is glorious. Not a wisp of cloud and a mirror-like sea. My son will enjoy the beauty of Oban from which ferries leave for a handful of islands,

We were given a magnificent bottle of Champagne at Christmas, we will pop the cork on New Year's Day. When we do so, we will raise a glass of cheer to our Kitcheners.

I apologise for twittering on at a rate of knots. From hereon, slowly but surely, I will try to catch up with each and every one of you. It will take time but...this is the moment when I can claim to have made the effort, albeit from a rather lumpy old fashioned computer chair.

Farewell my lovelies. I will return tomorrow. tchsmile

What joy to see you posting, dearest Soop. It’s good to hear you are being well looked after. We have all been very concerned about you. A big hug winging its way across the miles from Malta to Kintyre.🤗😘😘😘

dustyangel Tue 30-Dec-25 14:46:03

Oh how lovely to ‘see’ you back here with us all soop. I’m still popping into the quirt corner of the kitchen regularly even if I’m not posting. I’m. sorry that you have such painful sounding problems.

Usedtobeblonde Tue 30-Dec-25 15:10:07

A joyous return soop so happy to have you back where you belong.
You sound to be being well looked after, long may it remain so.

Blossoming Tue 30-Dec-25 15:12:51

How lovely to see you dear Soop xx

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 30-Dec-25 15:52:29

Lovely to hear from you Soop! My elder son and his partner are currently in Scotland about two hours from Inverness where they’ve bought a sort of holiday house. They are doing a bit of decorating so have left our 9-year old granddaughter with me for a few days. She wasn’t happy about roughing it in a house with no furniture!

GrandmaC47 Tue 30-Dec-25 17:19:55

So good to ‘see’ you back, dear Soop, you’ve been missed 💐
