I do make resolutions and have a thing about starting the new year in the best way possible. So when my husband was alive we always checked up on bills before new years eve and got paid up to date as much as possible so that we tried to start the new year owing no one, well ordinary bills at any rate. Then we used to look back over the year on new years eve, and while we would make plans on what jobs were needed to be given priority, we really spent more time looking back at who we had managed to see in the year, and planned on meeting up with old friends and going to new places as and when we could afford it.So although alone now, I do make resolutions, mostly mundane practical ones of sorting out drawers, making notes of anything I need moving that I cant manage now, ready to ask my son when he visits to move stuff around and then the biggest thing to look forward to is what opportunities there are to visit friends and get out and about. To buy the Yellow Book and plan to visit as many gardens as possible and to keep breathing!!
