I started testing mince pies in October and can honestly say that I have bought just about every kind and from every supermarket.Trouble is I can’t stop and must have a mince pie with a cuppa each day.
They will soon be gone from the stores…how will I cope?😲

Cossy

Aldi did the most wonderful Jamaican rum mince pies! We bought boxes and boxes haha

Another aficionado hey? But just wait until you run out, there’ll be no comfort for you, kitkats and custard tarts are a poor substitute ☹️
I shall attempt to wean myself off the addictive mince pies by limiting myself to one every three days and then make it four days and so on.I hope to recover in time for the hot cross buns in March.
I will carry an eccles cake as methodone TerriBull ready to whip out when I get the shakes, as Rich Tea biscuits are only a treat for the toothless.

I have a very sweet tooth and love cake, biscuits, puddings and chocolate. The only sweet thing ever invented which I really dislike is a mince pie.

Your moniker indicates a love of biscuits Oreo, tbh Eccles cakes are much better than mince pies imho, but each to their own.
I wish you well in rehab. 😀

I’m the same, today I was craving that pink and white soft nougat with nuts in it, used to get it a lot in my youth but haven’t seen it for ages. Got hard nougat for Christmas that my teeth can’t cope with so had to let other family members devour it.

I don't know how long it will take for you to detox, but be prepared for a long stay.

Then there's always the problem of it coming back. I can almost guarantee you'll be baking your own by August.

Stay strong, you've got this. We are all behind you.
