Good morning all from the ferry across the Minch. I'm on the journey home after a lovely few days on the Isle of Lewis. It's just getting light. I can see snow covered mountains but it's slightly warmer today.

Sorry to hear of the storm damage in Cornwall and other parts of the country.
I was sent a video of DGD having a driving lesson in the icy Midlands.

I am a little anxious about how I will find my house. Royal Mail left a parcel on the ground outside my house and sent me a picture of it. I phoned a neighbour who has taken it in

Keep safe everyone. Have a good weekend.

Good morning from a calm Suffolk where the grass is green and the drive looks dry in spite of non stop rain yesterday. I woke up a little while ago expecting that everywhere would be icy.

I shall go and visit my dear friend who is coming to the end of her 4 week stay for respite after her stroke before she returns home in the middle of next week. The improvement in her mobility is excellent and with that her confidence.

Because of the weather I haven’t seen her since last Friday but we keep in touch on WhatsApp both messaging and conversation. I go equipped with a bottle of wine so she can have a glass with her lunch and a copy of the Times.

Other than that it will be a quiet afternoon at home with DH and the little dog awaiting our weekly Waitrose delivery. By the way, after alternating between a choice of 4 different cars DH made a final decision yesterday and will pick up his chosen one on Tuesday when it has been through the workshop for a thorough check and for a new year’s MOT. Hope he now doesn’t mull over once he has the car whether he made the right choice!

Hope today is a good one for all especially those with difficulties in their lives.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a calm, sunny, snow free South Yorkshire. Rather different to yesterday morning, but the snow we had was all gone by early afternoon.
I made a large pan of bolognese sauce in the morning and put some aside for my tea. The rest will go into the freezer. The pan I used is really well past its best so in the afternoon I walked the long way down to the supermarket where I had seen a good one on offer. It says it’s induction compatible but we’ll see - sometimes they don’t work on all the rings. First world problems🙄!
Nothing planned for today - a walk out when the frost has gone maybe.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning all from the Black country still plenty of snow here with any that had melted freezing overnight.
Think it will be a day in and make a start on tidying some cupboards.

Have the best day you can whatever your plans ☀️.

'How did your woods fare?'

Gingster, unbelievably my trees stayed put but most of them are deciduous and it was very noticeable how many of the fallen trees were conifers.

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Good session with art group yesterday, black and white abstract designs and I enjoyed seeing everyone again after the break.

A little grocery shopping and a visit to locksmith with my garage remote door key. I need to get details from the garage door to repair. It will be nice to have the remote working again, rather than getting in and out of the car. All good exercise I suppose.

DD arrived from the south early evening after a good journey which I had been worried about. She just had a bit of a traffic jam in Birmingham. After enjoying a beef casserole, we watched a programme set in Corfu, the family holiday venue for us last year.
DD is out with old friends tonight and my neck crick is feeling better🤞
Thoughts to all🌺

Good morning everyone from sunny bright Lancashire.

MrB and I have had a lovely walk around the Dock. It’s much colder and the water in the Dock has frozen again.

Sending positive vibes to our poorly grans and those with troubles.

Wishing you all a good day, whatever you’re doing.
