Hello Grans!
Just a bit of a self pitying rant really🤔
I’ve had a difficult couple of weeks, including a UTI/Kidney infection that is still hanging about after 2 lots of antibiotics…this has made me postpone some spinal steroid injections, which l’ve been waiting 14 months for (they don’t like to give you steroid injections with an active infection. )And then if that wasn’t enough, today l struggled to the supermarket with my trolley and on the way back l fell over after tripping on a pavement stone and have cuts and abrasions on my hands, knees and feel very sore indeed.
I don’t usually feel sorry for myself, but today l do! Hope others have had a better time than me!

My dh and I have been ill and not able to go out for over 2 weeks and I really do feel your pain.
We have a few days away booked for next week which will probably need to be cancelled.
Chins up and onwards. flowers

Bless you. I think we all get days like that at times. Winter is for hibernation. Get cosy with whatever you have, heated blanket, hot water bottle etc and rest. Your body needs rest to start to heal.

If you still have the uti, d mannose and cranberry extract might well do the trick. You can get both of these in health food shops or even Superdrug now. Antibiotics work less and less for this now. Oh and sugary foods are inflammatory and might prolong it. Good luck!

Just sending a virtual hug and warm blanket. Sometimes we have to take it slow and be our own fussy mother. Things WILL get better.

You have just cause to feel sorry for yourself, who wouldn't give what you are experiencing. Do hope the UTI issue is sorted and you get the steroid injections soon. The sun WILL come out tomorrow........

Thank you so much.
I am sorry you’ve been suffering too. It really is a horrible illness and l wouldn’t wish it on any one of us. Hope you feel better soon xx

Chin up Chuck.

I have been juggling various waiting lists for conditions and treatments for a list of medical conditions over the past 3 years. Also live by myself with little help.

Then in mid December..l slipped and broke my arm whilst getting off a bus and broke my arm

Very painful, can barely get about but it is slowly but surely getting better.

And that is what will happen for you as well.

Love and Best Wishes

Did you notice if the pavement stone was sticking up?
It really should be reported and your injuries noted.
Not that you will feel like doing that atm. Spoil yourself today.

Please don’t underestimate the effect an infection can have on you. Boring though it may be you’re probably run down and very tired. You’ll soon recover but in the meantime just try to rest and relax at home. I had a virus before Christmas and fell over on my way to the shops. I realised that I shouldn’t have gone out that day and have resolved to be more sensible in the future.
