This ghastly person and his gang seem to be everywhere in the news.
It's utterly depressing.

Mandelson has stepped down from the House of Lords. Still able to call himself Lord, apparently. There are several names I could give him and Lord would not be one of them.
The last I heard, about 2pm, was that steps were being taken to remove his title, which should most definitely happen. It was given to him by Gordon Brown who wanted him use his political skills to aid the floundering labour party. Instead of which he betrayed them.
Previously it was said, a couple of days ago, that he would not attend the Lords, so nothing has changed.

Would Mandelson have been appointed if Trump hadn’t regained the presidency? I, personally don’t think he would have been but with Trump you have to fight fire with fire and Mandelson was someone who had experience of the man. Things are happening because of his presidency that wouldn’t normally happen. Again I know I’m biased as a Labour supporter, though but I’m trying not to be.
I think Mandelson would have been appointed ambassador to Washington, no matter who won the presidency buthis name should never been in the frame, regardless of who won the presidency.
Throughout his career Mandelson has shown himslef to be duplicitous and untrustworthy. Back in 1996 when he was a cabinet member he accepted an interest free loan from a cabinet colleague whose financial dealings his department were dealing with, What is more the loan was not declared in the List of Member's interests.
He had to resign again a few years later when he tried to use his position to influence a passport application. Time and again we see him wining and dining on yachts and on holiday destinations with all the rag tag and bobtail of international life, dodgy dictators, oil barons, the likes of Epstein. Who in their right mind would consider him for a Washington posting. I can only assume that Starmer, like Trump, is not in his right mind.
As for AMW, his family are like all normal people and do not like washing their dirty linen in public. But when, a few months ago, the King announced his draconian actions on AMW, taking all his titles, and banishing him to a rundown farm house at the extremes of the Sandringham estate. The UK equivalent of being sent to Siberia, it was pretty clear then that this was because the King knew that there was more damning evidence due to come out of exactly what kind of unpleasant man and a disgrace t his family ANW really is.
Whatever you think of him I think it’s a bit much to compare Starmer to Trump

With regard to Starmer's appointment of Mandelson as Ambassador to America, he was out of mind to make the appointment, and is now reaping the consequences.
I never thought I would ever agree with anything Piers Morgan said. But today he said
Peter Mandelson is a snivelling little traitor who betrayed his country, his Govt, his colleagues, and the British people, to a convicted paedophile who gave him £££. Hard to imagine a more sickening scandal. He should be prosecuted and jailed."

On this I totally agree with Piers Morgan

Yep, knowing Mandelson’s past, there was no reason whatsoever for his appointment
I agree with Piers on quite a lot of things, he is just a bit weird about women sometimes.
It is a very significant political scandal. A three year old could have predicted this.

You believe the King knew there was more to come months before ?
Anniebach, I think he may well have suspected that there could be more to come regarding his brother.

It seems Sarah Ferguson was talking to a company regarding a 'tell all' scenario. Her involvement with Epstein was deplorable even before reading that she took her daughters to see him after his release from prison for child sex offences. What was she thinking? Does she even think? It can only be hoped that no broadcaster will consider listening to her or paying money for her squalid revelations - although given the current news it seems depravity is the topic that sells newspapers.
Perhaps taking her daughters was akin to Princess Diana holding hands with AIDS patients - “Look, WE don’t feel this person needs to be avoided”!
I do not suggest any parallel between an AIDS victim and a paedophile, but I wouldn’t put that sort of reasoning past Sarah F.
“Former Reform UK Wales leader Nathan Gill was sentenced to 10.5 years in prison in November 2025 for accepting bribes from a Russian-linked source to push pro-Kremlin narratives while serving as an MEP. He pleaded guilty to eight counts of bribery, receiving payments for speeches and interviews. “
If only this had been given more publicity and people had been as horrified about it as they are about Mandelson.
We are capable of doing both.
And at one time I would have held the labour party to higher standards as I supported them.

We are capable of doing both.
Of course we are.
There was a thread on the Reform MP.
Mandelson’s influence spreads far wider, and involves people trafficking, under age sex and who knows what more is to come…
This is an example of what we are seeing in the US. Very little about Andrew.

I’ve long suspected that the Epstein empire covered a multitude of sins. With the awful Mandelson, it seems duplicity, criminal behaviour whilst in public office is being exposed. At last, thankfully
I’m sure the King has been aware of ‘more to come ‘ with his brother and his ex wife, a pair of shameless manipulators, well matched with a sex offender and a duplicitous Labour mp/political campaigner
Underneath all of this is the horrific, organised, sexual exploitation of girls and women. I’ll eat my hat by the way, if boys aren’t involved. As with the organised child sexual abuse gangs in the UK, boys are exploited, probably in smaller numbers, but they’re there 💙u

Yes you do think that, you even brought Lord Mountbatten into a thread when someone posted that Andrew was paying for boys to visit him, with a reminder that Lord Mountbatten was keen of boys. Now you say same of PM
Thanks imaround, it’s good for everybody to see the bigger picture. There are multiple investigations running concurrently by the looks of it.We are obviously focussing at the moment on the British names, but in the bigger scheme of things they may well prove to be minnows.
