Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry outside and maybe a bit chilly out there in Brackley .
Up to my usual routine with the bus journey to Bicester to shop etc ,might do two runs if I am up to it , I have been struggling when walking this last few days ,seem to be having a bad patch .
Its making me think twice about going on coach day trips if I struggling when walking .
Health OK otherwise .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a dry Bristol. Looks like spring has sprung!
I’m sorry you are having mobility problems, Mick, I trust they will be resolved soon.
The FAB cafe had 20 attendees. It’s getting almost too successful. Unfortunately, two of the 3 AgeUK volunteers, the ones who do the chatting, couldn’t come, but it still went well.
The lunch I was going to went well too, the food was nice but portions huge. It took place at the Bristol Golf Club which had fabulous views across the Bristol Channel, Severn bridge and Wales.
I was very tired (and full!) when I got home and sat for the rest of the day, just having a small cup of soup and some yoghurt in the evening.
Just t’ai chi today, the dinner with DD and family. Must finish my Spanish homework for tomorrow.
May you all have a gentle day, especially fgt/urms 🌺 at this very sad and hard time.

Good morning from a dry but breezy Torbay.

Yesterday was quite Spring like with a few hours of sunshine to lift our spirits. Each year, the sight of these daffodils and crocuses in the park opposite my home are a delight and attract several amateur photographers, including me!

At Wednesday Club, we reviewed last week's performances of The Ghost Train and it was good to see a few members of the cast and crew including the director who gave us some interesting background information about how the production took shape.

I hope you soon regain your original mobility, Mick so you can continue your outings.

Thoughts with all those for whom life is a struggle at the moment. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from soggy South Lanarkshire. More rain forecast for today.

Mick, I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling with your mobility just now, I do hope it improves so you can enjoy the better weather when it comes.

Wonder of wonders, DH had a call from the hospital yesterday afternoon to say that there was a space today if he’d be willing to take it. He snatched up the offer so his knee replacement surgery is going ahead, barring disasters between now and then. His admittance time is 7.30 am and although he is fasting he’s making fresh coffee for me just now.

I’ll have a day pottering around the house and dog walking between showers.

My best wishes to all for a good day, especially those carrying heavy burdens just now.

Good morning from Malta where it is to be sunny and 20°C.

Yesterday was a beautiful day so Milo dog and I enjoyed our walk in the sun. I realise how unfit I am though as the uphill bits were an effort! Good thing I had the dog to pull me along, he’s small but strong!😄

DD3 picked the dog up at 3pm, dropped the boys off and went to her class. She’s taken on another degree course.

The boys were in lovely moods and I enjoyed having them. Their daddy collected them at 5pm.

I’m meeting a friend for coffee this morning, I wish it was a bit later as I feel worn out despite having slept fairly well. I don’t know why I feel so tired these days.

Lovely photo Ashcombe, doesn’t it lift your spirits to see those beautiful flowers. Spring is in the air!

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Bellasnana Thu 26-Feb-26 05:55:26

Best of luck to your DH baubles. Hope all goes without a hitch now.🙏🏻

grandMattie Thu 26-Feb-26 06:17:50

baubles, it occurred to me that the postponement of your DH’s operation might have been due to shortage of “cement”.
I’m so pleased that that he’s having it today. All the best.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs where it’s not light, but there is a tinge of fire in the eastern sky. I think the forecast is mixed today. It was lovely yesterday but I spent most of the afternoon in the library with the writers group.

Today I will join the usual Thursday morning walking group and then have lunch with DD. I have a hair appointment this afternoon so won’t be able to call in on my niece. We are like ships that pass in the night at the moment.

My neighbour had a badger in her garden yesterday!

Have the best day you can, folks.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 26-Feb-26 06:38:32

Good morning, I think it is going to be mild here in S E Essex.

My cleaning fairies 🧚‍♀️ 🧚‍♀️ are here first thing, I might venture to the farm shop after, and M & S Food Hall.

Hope all goes well for your DH’s TKR baubles

((Hugs))) to all in need (or just fancy one) 🙋‍♀️

Good morning from a dull Black Country, after a lovely sunny day yesterday.

MrJ's small operation is today, we have to leave just after 7am, as appointment is 7.30am. The journey is about 20minutes. They are also doing some plastic surgery on his head, so he will be fairly sore I imagine for a while.

Then it will be a wait for the call to collect him when it is over.

Had another letter for a Hospital appointment for Mum to see Epilepsy Nurse! No-one has mentioned a possibility of this! Also it is Cannock, which is too far, so have to ring to ask to change it to Wolverhampton. This will be her 4th visit so far for various tests.

Hope your mobility improves Mick

Wishing you all the best day possible. FGT flowers

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 26-Feb-26 06:45:42

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

OH and I had a delicious lunch out yesterday. My fillet steak was small and perfectly pink.

Back home I bit the bullet and booked an appointment with a podiatrist. I know there’s one antibiotic left to take, but I doubt my toe will suddenly improve! My appointment isn’t for three weeks but that’s quicker than the NHS route at the moment.

OH will visit his bees today. I have my book group. We’ve all read the same book this time - other months may have a theme.

Have a good day everyone.

Thinking of FGT. 🌹

Good morning from Sheffield

Just about to get out for a walk

Not sure what to do this afternoon, I may go to a garden centre. This spell of sunshine has turned my thoughts to the garden.

The family are coming for tea . DH made a spag sauce yesterday so that all done.
Bless him , why he uses every pan , pot and utensil is quite baffling. I would never say anything, it’s delicious and I have a dishwasher so no extra work

Take care everyone flowers

Good morning from Shropshire.A mixed forecast today.

We enjoyed a quiet day yesterday until we picked DGD up from school when it got very busy! Her dance class doesn’t finish until 8 now.It was 10 by the time we got home 😴

A blood test for me this morning then DH has his exercise class this afternoon.

I hope your mobility improves Mick and also hope Grandmabatty is feeling ok after her fall.

Thinking of FGT.

Wishing everyone a good day🦩🌻

Good morning from a very mild Stockport.
Just popping in to say good luck with the TKR to Bauble’s H, it is a big operation but so worthwhile , my own recovery was good and to be over that grinding pain such a relief.
Also to NannyJ’s H, small op it may be but it is good to get it done.

Melanie61 Thu 26-Feb-26 06:51:18

Hope Mr Baubles and Mr J procedures go well today, good wishes to them

Susan56 Thu 26-Feb-26 06:55:09

I hope the surgeries go well for your DH’s baubles and NannyJan 🙏🏻

Georgesgran Thu 26-Feb-26 07:01:27

Good Morning from Durham. It’s going to be a cool, windy day, but that should keep the rain away.
I’m expecting a new washing machine between 8-10am, so I think the rest of my day will be spent catching up with DD2’s laundry.
Hope the medical procedures go ahead for MrB and MrJ today, without any hitches.

Best wishes to all. X

Marzipan22 Thu 26-Feb-26 07:07:21

Good morning from a dark, rainy, quiet Cornwall. Did lots of bus jaunting yesterday as I needed several things from different towns. I have eight towns within easy reach by bus from where I live so the choice is wide. Passing through an old tin mining village I found an abandoned church I hadn't noticed before so I'll be going back to investigate at some point.

I posted my daughter's weighty birthday parcel yesterday to Liverpool and can see that it's arrived overnight in Chester. Such good value for £9 postage.

Today a friend is coming for coffee. We've worked together on many projects over the years and I trust her wisdom to help me sort out a problem I'm dealing with. After that I will trundle off somewhere, maybe to the library that holds the county music collection as I could do with some new Baroque sheet music.

Mick is it your breathing causing problems? Maybe have a chat with your doctor.

Redcar Thu 26-Feb-26 07:14:19

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s light out, 9 degrees with light cloud. Yesterday was sunny and mild all day. I went to yoga, then rested all afternoon while my hairdresser restored my hair to the colour I like it!
Sad news yesterday, my dear sister in law passed away on Tuesday evening after a long illness.

I’m at DD1s today, dog and child minding. I have the three eldest after school as DD2 has parents evening after school. Littlest is at pre school.

baubles I hope your DH’s operation goes well today, also that MrJ’s procedure is successful.

I hope that grandmabatty is feeling less bruised and achy today.

Thinking of all who are struggling with pain or worries today.

Marydoll Thu 26-Feb-26 07:23:37

Good morning all,

I just wanted to send my good wishes to Mr Baubles and Mr J for today .

I have Babydoll on my own this morning, DH stupidly made a dental appointment for today. WHY?

I am not doing too well healthwise and much as I love BabyD, I am dreading this morning.

My DIL's wound has opened up again, she was so so poorly, when we saw her yesterday.😪

I need to dash she will be here soon.

Love to all.x

luluaugust Thu 26-Feb-26 07:27:35

Good morning from a bright W Kent where I have just seen DGS3 off to work in London. Lovely evening spent chatting to him.
Art this morning and then earwax removal this afternoon before DGS and girlfriend return for dinner and to collect his car. Feel exhausted already.
Hope the ops go well for MrB and MrJ and glad you have a podiatrist appointment llfl
Sorry to hear your sad news Redcar
Best wishes to all

Grammaretto Thu 26-Feb-26 07:36:57

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It feels mild and I am enjoying the longer days though the sun has been noticeable by its absence.

Great news about your DH operation happening Baubles. I also wondered if it was the lack of cement which caused the postponements.

Sorry you are having mobility problems Mick.

I have yoga later this morning and ceilidh dancing tonight.

Wishing everyone a happy day.

BlueSapphire Thu 26-Feb-26 07:37:12

Good morning everyone from a cloudy and damp Northampton, rain showers are forecast. Not going out anywhere today as an expecting a Sainsbury's delivery.

Yesterday was lovely again, and I managed my bus trip into town in the afternoon. Bank account all sorted and then I was halfway round the shops when I realised I had forgotten to get any cash out, so had to trail all the way back.

Some excellent news yesterday - DGD1 passed her driving test at her first attempt! Luckily I had popped into a card shop yesterday and got her a card, so will put some cash into it for a treat before I deliver it.

And today is DS's birthday, 47, where have all those years gone?

Wishing all a good day, and hope today's surgery goes well for the two DHs.

brook2704 Thu 26-Feb-26 07:42:06

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s dry with light grey clouds
Hoping Baubles DHs knee replacement and MrJs procedures go well today
A much quieter day for me today, nothing specific planned apart from getting a few things packed for a trip to DD1s in Cambridge this weekend
Sad news Redcar, sending condolences to you and your family
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

cornergran Thu 26-Feb-26 07:42:57

Morning Mick, morning All. They sky looks heavy. Rain forecast for our corner of Somerset.

Mr C’s birthday outing went well yesterday. Thankfully it was quiet at Cheddar allowing us to navigate some steep and very wet flights of steps at our own very slow pace. We reflected over coffee on how different things could have been had the F2 on rotation to our GP practice not set him on the route to major cardiac surgery almost three years ago.

Another poor night for me, still awake at 3, that’s a fibro flare up for you. I’m looking forward to meeting a friend for coffee and a light lunch today. We’ve not been together for some months and I hope I don’t yawn at her as I certainly won’t be bored. If there’s time later on we’ll be off in search of more cake ready for the family get together our son is hosting on Saturday. There are some specific requests we hope M&S can meet.

🤞 for Mr Baubles, a TKR is major surgery but so worth it to be pain free. I’ve never regretted mine. Hope all goes well for Mr J and anyone with medical appointments today.

Best wishes and a hope Thursday is kind to us all.
