Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and dry at the moment here in Brackley , should be day light just after 0600.
Today usual bu trip to Bicester , but still in pain on right leg , maybe exercise and the use of paracetamol tablets may help ease it with deep heat spray.
Health otherwise OK ,
Take Care,
Mick

Morning from a sunny S Hants. Yesterday I went out for the first time, a short walk by a river, it was glorious. MrJ also changed our bedding, summer duvet on, much better last night.
No real plans today, couple of phone calls to make.
Lovely pictures Marzipan

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

I feel a little perkier - friends have told me that this bug can take several weeks to clear. What a pain!

OH and I will make another attempt to drive to a pottery half an hour away. We will look round the gardens, have a light lunch and maybe (of course we will) pop in the shop!

Have a good day. It’s lovely to hear from FGT2 🌹

Good morning from a dry warm Morecambe Bay where we are promised another fine day- until this evening when the rain is forecast to return. I don’t often post as we tend to be up and off now with our dog for his morning walk but this morning I have an osteopathy appointment so DH is taking the pooch.I usually read and keep up with folk and I thought you would like to to see a couple of pictures I took recently. One is of the snowdrops at Lytham Hall and the other is of crocus in our churchyard. Take care everyone and stay safe.

Good Morning everyone from another gloriously sunny south coast.

Choir last night was still missing attenders including our piano accompanist. I am unsure if there is a lot of illness about or sunshine holiday breaks but with only three basses present, the men struggled with the new pieces we are learning. Our next concert is on 13 June so it's really not that long to get up to speed. Worrying unless attendance improves.

Dh needs one hearing aid as he is totally deaf in one ear which cannot be helped by an aid. He was quoted over £3k for one digital aid and is reluctant to pay so much, so is now researching other providers. It does seem a lot but we have no experience on that as it would be the same cost for two aids. It does seems unreasonable to pay the same for just the one. Does anyone else agree and what sort of price have you paid for your aids? Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hope the sun is shining on Urmston and easing the sadness a little for FGT.

Kind thoughts to all strugglers and hoping the day brings some peace for us all.

Good morning and the sun is shining after a very murky day yesterday.

Today is World Book Day and DGD has gone as a female Mad Hatter.🎩. She looks great. Dgd2 (working and training in early years ) has gone as Little Miss Sunshine. ☀️ .

Madeleine your whist group sounds just the same as our Bridge club. We do welcome new comers but not beginners as it spoils the whole afternoon. We are a full group at the moment , so have to refuse people who want to join. There are plenty of clubs that provide tuition . We’ve had beginners in the past but they don’t seem to stay long. Hopefully this will be the same for you.
It’s a shame that this gentleman was allowed to join you in the first place , as now it will be hard to ask him to leave. .

Today I’ll go to bowls and then back to give the house a ‘Spring clean’ and a freshen up. The sunshine motivates me.

I bought big bowls of primulas, daffs and little conifers in the market yesterday , presents for our friend who ferries us around and also for another friends birthday., Hopefully theyll have more next week so I can buy one for us., .

Enjoy the day - I hope you all see some sun, ☀️

Good morning from sunny s somerset

What a lovely day yesterday, I did not sit out for more than my tea and coffee, I was crazy busy all day. Bed, washing, baking, cooking, prepping sourdough and a massive crown prince squash prepped and roasted, the peeled chunks are now frozen. On my feet all day, 15 ready meals made and frozen. I slept well all night, even after an unplanned 9pm nap in my chair

An easy day for me today, I have already slightly moved a few plants, these sansevierias do like the sun, the leaves get all their markings back. All I am going to do today is clean my multi fuel stove and bake my artisan sourdough.

I do love these early spring days

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where its dry, sunny and Alexa tells me it’s tells me we will have 15°C today.

I’m still abed. I slept until my Alexa tells me its alarm woke me at 8am! First time ever I usually use Alexa tells me it’s as back up just in case. Oh well I must’ve needed it.

I’m enjoying TIB then I shall just have a bowl of Jordan’s raspberry cereal (and chop a banana into it to add one of my 5 a day) then I need to dress and meet our (my?) youngest daughter in the square for takeaway coffees and a walk.

My shower and hairwash will have to wait until my return I’m not in the mood for dashing about after such a luxurious sleep.

Apparently it’s World Book Day in schools and I’ve been sent an adorable photograph of L’il Miss dressed up in character ~ what a sweet start to my day 💕

Good morning from the east coast and another lovely day for us.

This morning I may go to the market in the next town and park outside and walk. I didn’t get there last week. I’ll go and check out the gluten free stall.

DH is staying round the house as we have our window cleaner this morning and he cleans our inside ones as well so DH uses the time to clean windowsills and is happy to have a good clean up. He’ll go to work this afternoon.

I’m picking up DGS and making his Thursday cake so he’ll be excited when he leaves school. He had a really good day yesterday and was great at ours. It’s world book day today so GD1 has gone as a scientist and GD2 at nursery is Rapunzel. DGS who finds change a struggle will wear his favourite Gruffalo tee shirt. He can just about cope with that.

Hoping everyone has a great day with moments of joy🌼
Thoughts to those struggling with health and sadness. 💐

Good morning from Shropshire.A misty start but the sun is trying to appear.

A quiet day yesterday until we picked DGD up from school. We dropped her home after her dance class then a long journey home as lots of overnight road closures 😩

A quiet morning then a friend coming for tea and cake later.

I am tired after our few days gallivanting and am beginning to think energy wise this is as good as I will get after last year’s illness.I still need to work on getting my confidence back too😢

Thinking of all our absent friends and our mountaineers and wishing everyone the best day possible 🌻🦩

Lost my earlier post 🤬

Sunny and mild here, hooray 🙌

I shall take myself into the bedroom, open all the windows and attack the Everest of ironing. The sun and birdsong will get me through 🌞🐦‍⬛

The Imp is here later for his weekly sleepover, hopefully the dinner menu will be acceptable (chicken Kyiv, jacket potatoes and veggies)

If you are fortunate enough to have the sun where you are, enjoy 🌞🌞🌞

FGT Dgs1 is dressed as Where's Wally and dgs2 as The Very Hungry Caterpillar! They are both very cute

Blossoming Thu 05-Mar-26 09:30:06

Good morning from sunny Lancashire.

Unfortunately I am still in bed, feeling fragile after a horrendous diarrhoea attack. I am never eating prawns again! Today’s plan is a lie in then a shower. Later, who knows?

Wishing you all a good day 🌹

GrandmaC47 Thu 05-Mar-26 09:40:05

Dry but dull in the south of Co Durham, sun forecast for later.
DD2 just collected her dad to take him to the barbers. She bought me a lovely bouquet and some chocolate. DD1 and son-out-law are taking us for a meal this evening. It’s my birthday.
Hope your appointment goes well, Ash, and hope you feel better soon, Blossoming.

Good morning from grey and decidedly cool South Lanarkshire.

I’ve been out walking the daft dug. I’ve just had breakfast and will be walking down to the town for my nail appointment in a little while.
My step count is rocketing as I’m doing a the dog walks while DH is hobbled.

Yesterday on instructions from the hospital aftercare nurse he rang our surgery to see if his dressing could be changed but was told there’s a shortage of nurses and no one was available. He then had to ring the clinic in our next town who were able to see him, however when he got there they had no dressings!! The nurse used a smaller dressing to seal the little gap, it’s a bit Heath Robinson but I guess it does the trick.

Sending good wishes to all.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.

It's not warm but perhaps that's just me feeling the cold. I'm sneezing and blowing my nose so have called off yoga but will still get a bus into Edinburgh later to see the Biba exhibition with a friend.

I viewed a house yesterday and need to get solicitors into action if I have a chance of securing it. Several low bids have been refused.

How lovely all your photos are today.
Well done Jax.
They'll always be ours FGT

Poor Blossoming get well soon.

Have a happy day everyone,

Jaxjacky Thu 05-Mar-26 10:23:19
