Good morning from N.Bucks where it is dry and the sun is trying hard after high winds during the night.
I have missed posting for the last few days as my Sister in Law was staying with us. She is having a difficult time after losing my brother ( husband)13 months ago and then my nephew (son) last month. We talked a lot and she appreciated being able to let her emotions go, I cried with her too ! She said that she usually felt that she had to keep them under control!
We got out and about so hope it all helped.
After she left in the afternoon, I collected 4 year old DGS from school. Once back at my house he sat me down to teach me how to write my letters, proclaiming that Nana is really good at writing and awarding me a ‘ sticker’.
DH is off to golf in a short while so have the day to myself. I have a few jobs to do including preparing a chicken and butter bean casserole. Hopefully a walk down to pick up the prescription that I forgot yesterday ! This afternoon I will be catching up with an on line drawing course.
Wishing you all a good day with a smile along the way.

Good morning all from a sunny Black country, but we have had overnight rain.
Toddlers this morning and we shall be eating out later we have yet another voucher.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Have the best day you can whatever your plans ☀️.

Good morning all and the sun is shining here in Essex.

Yesterday was a good one for getting jobs done. Dd popped in after school for a coffee and as she was feeling well, helped me a lot. We took little pooch to the vet for her yearly jab, back home and defrosted the freezer, sorting out ‘old’ food,,. She then helped me change the bed sheets (I hate that job).
A different girl from a couple of weeks ago , thank goodness.

Susan hope your daughter feels better soon. It’s such a worry for us mums. 😢 it doesn’t matter how old they are.

Today I’ll hop on the train to meet my friend for coffee and pastry. We’ll chat for a couple of hours and FaceTime our other friend in Oz. She’ll be back (travel permitting) for our next get together,

Dgd4 is 14 today. A lovely girl who is very keen to be an actress.
She’s been in the local Panto for the last two years which has given her a taste.

I hope you all have a gentle day and all poorlies feel they are on the ‘up’.

Take care 🌱

Good morning from a rainy Glasgow, where it is 7°C.

Oh Susan your poor daughter and such a worry for you. 💐

Roses, you sound a bit better.
I spent five days in hospital with unexplained breathlessness, a couple of years ago. After extensive tests, my heart medication was found to be the cause. It was totally unsuitable for me and doing the opposite of what it was supposed to do.
I hope you feel better soon.

Yesterday's dental visit was pretty awful, I spent an hour in the chair. Eventually, I had to ask the dentist to stop a few times. She had commented on how severe my Sjogren's was, resulting in my mouth being so dry, I was unable to swallow.
At one part of the procedure, I started to choke, it was a horrible feeling.
I felt unwell, when I went in and even worse when I came out.
Into the bargain, the numbing always gives me a blinding heheadache
I spent the rest of the day, lying on the sofa.

This morning, I need to chase up the engineer, who is supposed to look at the tumble dryer, the door won't close.
I know who is to blame!

I also have a badly needed hair appointment, usually, I look forward to the chat, but today, I just want in and out.
There are also two school runs to be factored in.
DS is back at work and has been allowed back into to his office, after the fire, so Dollie needs to get to school. He was only in the office and hour, on his first day back, when the police advised him to evacuate his staff.

Wishing you all a pleasant day and best wishes, to all those, who are struggling.
# Permanently grumpy old woman from Glasgow!

Good morning from a bright W Kent. I think I might walk to a friends for coffee this morning. An amusing U3A talk yesterday afternoon by a retired BBC cameraman, the costs around making a few minutes of drama are eye watering.
Happy birthday to your GD Gingster
Thinking of all those worried and struggling along.

Good morning from Suffolk where, looking at the puddles on the drive,it rained quite heavily last night.

It’s my keep fit class in just over an hour and I expect it to be heaving. There was a free taster session last week and I expect there will be newbies attending. We are a friend,y bunch so anyone will feel at home.

DH and I might go out to our favourite local pub for lunch if they have a spare table. It is very popular with only a few tables in the bar which we prefer at lunchtime. The restaurant is better in the evenings.

Hope all have a day with some brightness in it.

WhiteSwan63 Wed 11-Mar-26 08:04:19

Good morning from the east coast and it’s looking bright.
I’ve just put the porridge on so while it’s cooking I’ve been reading your posts.
Susan Hope your daughter feels better soon.

Yesterday I was busy with mum and we went to visit my uncle and his girlfriend. They are well and not causing any problems. They have been caught in someone else’s room sharing a shandy though. My uncle doesn’t drink. 🤦 His lady friend does lead him astray. It’s cute really. Mum and he were talking about the night they lost their father in 1971 and my uncle was crying as he remembered. He still feels it as keenly as if it were yesterday. He was talking about losing his beloved brother a few years ago and was tearful again. It did him good to talk.

Today it’s the usual routine the gym and picking up DGS. DH is going out with his gym friends this afternoon and I’ll pick them up this evening. I have curry sauce left over from Monday so I’ll add some king prawns and leftover new potatoes to it for my dinner once GS has gone home. DH finally managed to cut the grass yesterday though he had to strim it all first before mowing. The rhubarb is looking good already.

Wishing everyone a lovely day with a moment of joy. 🌼
Thoughts to those dealing with sadness and stress. 💐

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and dry at the moment but there's been heavy rain. The evidence is on the windows. I had a difficult night so I'm only just up. cornergran what a horrible day you had yesterday. Let's hope today is better. madeleine enjoy your whist evening. Susan I hope your daughter doesn't have measles.
Yesterday I was a domestic goddess and did loads of housework as well as making chicken pies. The boys were good too. They sent ds a video in Cannes and he sent them one back later.
The wonders of technology!
Today I'm recovering from a rotten night, like so many people. I might begin to look at new cars as mine needs more and more doing to it. That will be all I do today. Chicken pie for dinner. Have a good day all

EkwaNimitee Wed 11-Mar-26 08:07:51

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle. Let's hope it stays that way. Yesterday was largely grey, damp, windy and miserable.
I went out early to collect my new glasses. The rest of the day was a struggle getting used to them as the prescription had been changed. I had to resort to wearing my travel bands as I began to feel nauseous and dizzy. We'll see how we go today.

Jobs for today are cleaning the bathrooms. Later, a walk and/or get out in the garden as I still have things to plant. Neighbours are beginning to mow their lawns. Not me, mine has swathes of crocuses in full bloom and snowdrops still green but no longer in flower. I usually manage to postpone mowing till the beginning of May. Thankfully, garden waste collections have resumed today, my bin has been full for weeks and there's a pile of pruning waiting to go in when it's been emptied.

Do have a good day everyone if possible.

Susan56 Wed 11-Mar-26 08:15:54

Thank for your kind thoughts and prayers for my daughter.Really appreciated.
I am still waiting for an update this morning.
No news is good news?🙏🏻

dragonfly46 Wed 11-Mar-26 08:27:42

Good or I g from Leicestershire.

The sun is the only thing brightening my day as I am still in a lot of pain. The pain killers the doctor gave me did not work and made me feel very ill.

Hope everyone has a good day.

harrigran Wed 11-Mar-26 08:35:44

Good morning from a sunny but very windy NE.
I had to wear earplugs to get some sleep but was still woken several times by loud bangs. I will need to check if roof tiles are off.
No plans for today, waiting for text message to say my medical supplies are on the way.
Sorry to hear about your DD Susan, hope she feels better soon.
Thoughts are with you all.

Grammaretto Wed 11-Mar-26 08:59:27

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Plans all changed today as the people I invited to talk house sale things with me, can't come. So I shall go to yarn group and chill!

Weekend plans are changing due to the Glasgow fire. I may have to drive with passengers to the west coast for our potters gathering near Millport. Central Station is closed for some time.

Oh corner! What a day that was. Sorry for your family.

I hope your day goes well FGT. You sound incredibly brave to me.
I stopped a lot of things after DH died and gradually began different ones.

Marydoll you are a stalwart and dragonfly I hope your pain subsides.

My friend has a cousin of Robbie Pantglas.
He calls her Nina the cleaner and talks to her. worrying? 😂

Thanks for all the pretty photos BS and others
Have a good day folks.

Good morning from a bright northwest coast. I enjoyed the music club yesterday, although it was a small turnout. I couldn’t find my horned helmet for my comic song “I want to sing in opera” (Patricia Routledge was very good singing it). How do things seem to vanish? But I had other props. One new member who enjoyed it and will be back next week. I won’t as I have physio at the hospital for my bad neck.

Restless night, hip aching and resorted to listening to Giles Brandreth rambling on.
I’ve decided not to go to the usual lunchtime recital. I think tonight’s rehearsal in the city is enough after a bad night. Sorry to miss a good piano recital though.

Thoughts to Susan FGT and all poorlies 🌺

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire. The sunshine is lovely, the 36mph wind not so much!

MrB and I had a lovely time by the sea yesterday. This morning we have been to collect my prescription and then had a walk down the Dock. Despite the sunshine the wind is making it feel very cold so we weren’t out too long.

Our robovac is called Bertie Bott Pantglas and we love him. He’s on a timer so sets off automatically and puts himself away on his charger when he’s finished.

Hope your DD is on the mend soon Susan.

Enjoy the book club tonight in honour of himself FGT2 x

Marydoll hope today is a better one flowers.

As always, thinking of those with troubles in their lives.

Wishing you a good day whatever you’re doing. 🌹

Good morning from the slightly chilly midlands. I hope you all have the best day possible & a special mention to FriedGreenTomatoes2.

A late good morning from Durham and the sun is shining.

Yesterday was so much fun. DS could not make it to DGS3 "share and learn" class. I absolutely loved being able to take his place. Firstly we created a poster about the life cycle of a frog using pads to gather information. Then we created sonic booms with origami type paper folding which was enormous fun. Made me want to start school over again!

More fabric ordered today. I've found a lovely one for DDIL with old fashioned perfume bottles printed on it. Ideal for her apron.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Lupatria Wed 11-Mar-26 13:46:34

good morning from a sunny poole. as i haven't yet had lunch it's still morning to me!
i've done my weekly shopping and met up with my friend in tesco's cafe as usual for a catch up.
yesterday was exciting - i signed up for my new motability car!! i'm having a kia picanto and was worried it wouldn't be as nice as my current hyundai i10 but the new car is virtually identical. so a big sigh of relief.
now i've got to go home to stacking the dishwasher as i've almost run out of mugs and plates.
hope everyone is having a good day.

Good afternoon, from Lancs.
Sun is trying to shine, but that wind is so bitter, blowing through the metal pergola, making sounds like its singing.
Just hope the neighbours can’t hear.
Whilst taking in a parcel for next door, I missed my meds review with the pharmacy. I couldn’t moved fast enough to answer my phone 🙄oh well a good excuse to sit down & see if they call back.
Enjoy your beers Mick 👍🏻

Bit later in the day, but it was a sunny and warm start in my bit of South Wales. I have been able to sit in the garden and watch my dog play with my daughter's Labrador puppy - I am a 'puppy minder'!!

Mojack26 Wed 11-Mar-26 20:01:37

Do you mean 'chat'?🤣 I assume you literally did not mean 'shat' 💩🤣🤣🤣
