I love Gardeners’ World, but quite often I’d like to return to a specific part. So, I don’t delete the episode, but I just never go back to find out why I kept it. I’d love to be able to annotate the heading. It’s called a smart tv, I would only annotate mine, not anyone else’s, but as yet I can’t. Probably by the time technology permits me to use my tv as I would a computer I’ll be too old to remember what I wanted to remember. So for now it’s just scrappy bits of paper. Poor, sad old me.

There are 40 Gardeners' World episodes on the website
www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mw1h
Is there a way to search them?

I would like a tiny drone that can dust.

A time/travel machine. So when you are on holiday and ready to go home, you could simply summon the machine and be transported home within seconds.

My dm used to wish that she could press a button and be home. I often feel like that.

I wish tech would evolve to eliminate the reqirement for almost everything to need one of those irritating QR Codes.

Criminals, I'm sure, think they're one of the very best means of harvesting all the data needed to access your bank account judging by the horror stories of very authentic looking - but fake - codes popping up all over the place.

Take me back to the moment of my conception so that I could chooose my sex. I would choose to be male.

Something that would weed the garden automatically and make my lawn look newly planted - summer without water annihilated it!

Ah I would just like the Tardis appear for real and remove Trump and never bring him back . (Well if not perhaps the old Daleks with their Exterminate Exterminate could do the job!)

Oh well to something that might turn up . A jar opener that really works in less that 5 minutes!!

Nothing changes.
I used to keep magazines because there was something I thought might be useful.
I never did.

Something that could complete all gardening tasks and all house cleaning/maintenance tasks. Wishful thinking- but life would be just about perfect if such technology existed and was affordable.

Redcar Sun 05-Apr-26 15:16:03

An automatic weed remover would be so useful!

I would like technology to let me decide what degree of decrepitude and mental impairment I can life with now while I am well and then painlessly end my existence when I get past that point. I don’t want to live in a care home or not recognise my family.

If you go to the BBC iPlayer page, type in Gardeners Question Time in the search box and select the episode you can save it as a "bookmark" on your web browser. You normally do this by clicking on the star button at the top right near the site address.
You can save the link under any name that you like, say "pruning" or "dry shade" and you can make a folder just for "Gardening" so that you can find it again. Hope this helps.

I should add that you need to do this on a computer rather than a smart TV.

I would like something to clean the inside of windows without leaving any smudges, like I do!

I would love to have the ability for teleportation so I can get where I want to in the blink of an eye.
If some one can invent a robot that will come and strip my bed and put fresh bedding on it I would be very grateful. I’m not greedy I can get it into the washing machine and on the line (weather permitting) but I just hate remaking the bed.

AGAA4 Sun 05-Apr-26 15:53:47

I would like a robot called James to do everything.

Cumbrianmale56 Sun 05-Apr-26 16:20:27

I wish cars would have CD players fitted again, so I can play my favoutite music on long journeys.

Ktsmum Sun 05-Apr-26 17:01:07

Absolutely this. I was on safari in South Africa last year, and if I could press a button and be there I would go back like a shot 😃

@cc. Sounds just what I want! Never thought of using the laptop. Thanks @cc. You’re a star.

I would like a device, (or an app on my phone) which I could point at the tv and it tell me instantly which programme an actor has been in before.
I know I can look them up on IMDb, but this often means having to stop the programme to look up the name of the character/actor.
How many times do we say " Oh what was he/she in?"! Often I can't settle down and enjoy the programme until I have found the answer.
Does anyone else do this?

crazyH Sun 05-Apr-26 23:13:46

She777 - easily solved - pay someone £25 every fortnight and they will not only re-make the bed but will also hoover all the carpets for you. 😂
