Look at the size of the box compared to the actual egg! It did come with 7 chocs, but I still think it was deliberately deceptive.
Bought for dh, he’s not complaining, but I’m not a happy Easter Bunny.

They're all a big swiz!

Bought them for the DGC but not any adults this year.

You have to look at the weight I think.
That's the best clue as to size.
Unless you can actually see the egg of course - but it could be very thin or very solid!

This is the reason why I refuse to buy Easter eggs now! After looking at the actual weight of the contents it was easy to work out that the fancy packaging was simply a ploy to get people to part with money for very little chocolate!
OH had a Toblerone instead and they were on offer too.

For comparison, here’s the one he gave me. It came with 3 Maltesers bunnies.

NotSpaghetti Sun 05-Apr-26 10:22:42

Not really a swizz if you love it though!
grin

Who on earth weighs Easter eggs? TBH it would never have occurred to me.

They're smaller and thinner.

Unlike me, I might be smaller but not thinner.

And I'd never buy any type of chocolate egg tainted by the word 'Cadbury'.

Nowadays, it's only fit for melting down and using to stick down that awkward corner of wallpaper that keeps coming unstuck.

It is if you are paying more for less chocolate.

Same as you. I bought large bars and boxes of chocolates this year. Far more chocolate for my money.

I know everyone has different tastes but I think Cadburys is still the best chocolate by a mile. Lindor is horrible and I think people only rave about it to be snobby. It's only fit to give to the next raffle.

Aldi chocolate is fabulous too especially their little dreamie bars.

Aveline Sun 05-Apr-26 11:11:48

I'm on my third Lindt bunny 😋

Do you start with the ears?

Different tastes, Bukkie

Just because you dislike Lindt chocolate doesn't mean it is horrible, it just means you don't like it.

No, people don't rave about it to be snobby, that's a daft statement.
It just means they like it.

It is Swizz chocolate though, isn’t it ? Yodelehholeh

Allira Sun 05-Apr-26 11:34:14

Oh groan 😂😂😂

Aveline Sun 05-Apr-26 11:42:51

Groan indeed. Pedant alert- it's snobbish not snobby!
I do start by eating the Lindt bunny ears. Often quite a big bite required

paddyann54 Sun 05-Apr-26 12:02:18

I don’t mind the eggs being smaller ,it means our wee ones are excited at the box and just happy it’s another Easter egg.
It’s not unheard of for my GC to get more than 10 or 12 Easter eggs from grannies and aunties and neighbours .
My OH on the other hand likes big chocolate eggs but thin chocolate.

Some Cadbury eggs this year are not egg shaped! They look like a proper egg in the box but when you remove the egg it is oval shaped. So looking from the front it is egg shaped but turn it to the side and it's not. Creme Egg and plain Cadbury choc egg were oval while Twirl egg was round. Not sure about them all.

So basically, the oval shape is meant to give the impression the egg is larger than it is. They don't want to show a small egg, so they change the shape. Very clever. Next year it will be totally flat I guess.

You may not like Lindt, but that doesn't mean those of us who do are being in any way snobbish. Cadbury chocolate is a pale imitation of what it used to be.

Greyduster Sun 05-Apr-26 12:26:13

I don’t mind the eggs being smaller - I object to the huge amounts of cardboard packaging which we pay for and then throw straight into the recycling. I have bought Lindt and Guylian chocolates this year.

I have struggled to find any eggs without palm oil or palm butter. It tastes horrid and really does not agree with me.
