Lindor egg, what a swizz!

Look at the size of the box compared to the actual egg! It did come with 7 chocs, but I still think it was deliberately deceptive.
Bought for dh, he’s not complaining, but I’m not a happy Easter Bunny.

I haven't bought eggs with palm oil.
But I am very happy to pay for beautiful packaging.
I'm not prepared to buy huge boxes - unless they are truly fabulous. There is a difference. Some bring joy!

Bukkie, everyone should eat what they enjoy. Cadbury confectionery in Britain is not described as chocolate on the packaging, however, because it doesn't contain sufficient cocoa solids to pass the standard requirements for chocolate.

Being very yorkshire for several years I have chosen to give boxes or bars of chocolate as Easter gifts, so the recipient gets a decent amount of chocolate rather than the ever flimsier thin chocolate eggs hidden in too much wrapping.

We use real eggs for Pace eggs , where eggs are hardboiled and have initials or drawings on and use onion skins for yellow and cheat a bit with cochineal if pink is what is wanted. Then we go to the top of the hill and the rules are that they must be batted down with a wooden spoon. No cheating using hands or feet to help them on the way. The winner gets a small chocolate egg as a prize and then they are issued with paper bags to go back up the hill and collect any debris before we disappear out of breath to have a much needed drink. Have had much fun and laughter over the years doing this . For myself have always been a plain chocolate lover and usually 70 or 85 % , so you dont need a lot but it is the real McCoy! (wonder who McCoy was as we seem to say this?}

I think it was the real Mackay - a whisky, originally.

Groan indeed. Pedant alert- it's snobbish not snobby!
I do start by eating the Lindt bunny ears. Often quite a big bite required

😂

Love the word "swizz" Don't hear it often enough nowadays even though there's more swizzes about than ever!

I refuse to buy easter eggs now. Its difficult to find them with real chocolate in them and most have palm oil and petroleum in them instead of chocolate.

You have to look at the weight I think.
That's the best clue as to size.
Unless you can actually see the egg of course - but it could be very thin or very solid!

Who on earth weighs Easter eggs? TBH it would never have occurred to me.

You don’t weigh the egg you look at the price tag where it tells you the cost per weight of chocolate. I realised a long time ago that Lindor was one of the most expensive you could buy.

Agree about the change of shape . My daughter bought me a dark chocolate Lindt bunny touch I was very pleased with and the chocolate was very thick, it was hard to break.

I bought Cadbury eggs for 2 daughters and granddaughter because it was what they like but I think Cadbury chocolate is awful now nothing like it used to be.

Other granddaughter doesn’t eat chocolate so she had an individual cheese, she was just as pleased!

That’s what happens when the government allows hostile takeovers and by a country which imo doesn’t produce any decent chocolate. Can’t see Switzerland ever allowing that.

Nothing to worry about for me as I don’t like chocolate 🤣🤣🤣so I had a box of Turkish delight instead
