Good morning everyone from mid Essex. Clear blue sky and sunshine and a lovely warm day is forecast.
Yesterday was beautiful, I uncovered the garden table and cleaned the glass top, now I need to clean the chairs that were left out all winter.
My back was painful after weeding on Monday so I wasn’t able to do much.
I visited my dementia friend in the afternoon, she has an infection and a chesty cough and is on antibiotics.
It’s chair yoga this morning and an Ocado delivery this afternoon.

roses sorry you are haven’t heard from the hospital yet, hope you don’t have to wait too much longer for your scans etc.

Safe travels to all those on the move today. I hope all those with medical issues feel better soon.

sar I hope that your DH’s hospital visit goes well and that he will soon be able to see out of his eye.

Have the best day you can everyone, may we all find some sunshine in our lives, physical or mental!

Roses thoughts to you as you await your treatment plan and to virtual friends worrying and stressed💐🌺

Good morning from a dry but dull NE.
Yesterday was a busy day, DD and SIL arrived at noon and we did a grocery shop.
We had a light lunch of vegetarian sushi, as we were saving our appetite for afternoon tea.
DD and I went off to the study and managed to complete my online tax form using all the data I had gathered on Monday. Turns out all my figures were correct but I was grateful to DD for filling in the online form, I worry I will make mistakes.
Afternoon tea was lovely and it was nice to walk in the castle grounds in the sunshine.

DD is travelling home to Brussels at lunchtime but she will be back again in a month.
Have a good day.

Good morning Mick and everyone from bright Carlisle.
Yesterday was quite busy... a good wipe around in the kitchen and then I emptied the freezer into the one in the garage where it all just fitted. Naturally, there were a few rather ancient items I'd forgotten about. The whole thing was well iced up, as there was no rush to get things back in I left it to its own devices. First job this morning is to refill it.

I found my bone scan results had appeared on my records. I had blithely assumed that, like every scan and test I've had, my bones would be perfect. They're not, I have osteopenia, age and the wretched steroids I suppose. I sent in an e-consult and now have a GP appointment next week. Little to be done I suppose, I already have a healthy lifestyle.

Bathroom cleaning and odd jobs today and possibly a walk or gardening after lunch to take advantage of the good weather, it's not due to last around here.

Roses, I'm shocked you're having to wait so long in the circumstances, it's disgraceful service from the NHS. Can your GP not prod someone? You are being admirably calm, enjoy your Shed.

Good morning from sunny Wiltshire.

DH removed all the old, now falling apart trellises from the wall alongside on side of the garden and took them to the local recycling dump. I’ll order 3 new panels, but unfortunately one panel was obviously made to measure and is not a standard width so not sure what to do.

In the afternoon we went to Bowood woodland walking trails as we have bought membership this years. We may go again this afternoon to the main house and gardens.

Blood test this morning and then a quick Tesco shop as no Ocado this week.

Roses 💐How are you coping with walking your dogs? I hope your DH has a successful visit at the eye clinic.

Have a good Wednesday everyone.

Gingster Wed 08-Apr-26 07:46:44

Good morning all and another fine day is forecast.

Yesterdays eye appointment was unsatisfactory as the opticians didn’t have the necessary equipment that the DVLA require.
A very nice, helpful young optician explained everything to me and it seems like I have to return to Specsavers as the DVLA have a contract with them.
I knew this wouldn’t be easy.

Today I have a pedicure appointment, then meeting a friend for coffee. This afternoon Dh has his biopsy procedure. I hope we don’t have to wait too long for results.
Roses 🌺. Waiting is the worst part.

Sar I hope all goes well for your dh 🙏.

Take care all and enjoy the day ☀️

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cloudy but feels much warmer, yesterday was a lovely sunny day
Oh roses thinking of you and sending a gentle hug, hope you get an appointment very soon
It’s the usual Wednesday routine with the gym, coffee with friend, a walk and the bus home. All enjoyable but I’ll not get chance to do much gardening today, so that’s planned for tomorrow if it stays dry
Sounds like you had a good day yesterday greyduster no wonder you felt exhausted!
Safe travels to OD Ash and everyone on the move today
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning all from another sunny day in the Black country.
Have one load of washing on the line with another in the machine, this weather brings out the laundry lady in me.
Front garden needs attending to so that will probably be todays job, will see how I feel once breakfast is out of the way.
Have a good day everyone whatever your plans ☀️.

Liberty Wed 08-Apr-26 07:56:47

Good morning from a bright sunny Suffolk. How lovely it is to wake up to such a lovely day confident the sun should last all day.

I have my keep fit class at 9.30 and then I’m taking a friend from the class to one of her favourite cafes for coffee and then probably lunch. She has never driven and since she was widowed getting to such venues is difficult and lengthy by bus.

Roses I hope you enjoy the tranquility of your ‘shed’ and hear a further from the hospital soon

Hope all find this glorious weather relaxing and health restoring.

Grammaretto Wed 08-Apr-26 08:02:46

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. The sun is up and the world news in the night wasn't quite as dreadful as feared.

I had a lovely morning out in Edinburgh despite the bus not turning up so having to catch a later one. I met my DGD at the Gallery of Modern Art - her choice - where we enjoyed the Joan Eardley exhibition - soup and drinks outside and birthday present shopping. She chose earrings and I found a present for my DS3 who will be 50 next month.

It was hot and I was overdressed. Lucky I had my rucksack to stuff spare layers in.

Once home I drove my poor old car to the garage and swapped it for my shiny new car. New to me, dealt with the insurance etc and drove it home. It doesn't have a CD player and has only 2 rear seats but big enough for me.

I am angry on your behalf Roses that you haven't been seen yet. Is it to do with the doctor's strike? I know the oncology team have to meet to decide on a treatment plan but you should be told the reason.
I'm glad you have your Summerhouse/shed to fall asleep in.

Yarn group this morning and I must photograph more furniture and to go to local auction. I must try again to contact the book charity.

Hope everyone has something nice to do today.

Grannydaisy1 Wed 08-Apr-26 08:05:24

roses flowers hugs to you. You are being very brave

Morning from S Hants, we havehigh cloud which will burn off. Yesterday Openreach laid a cable in our front lawn ready for f/f broadband, they left it very tidy.
My daughter and granddaughter had a very busy day in London, great weather for sightseeing.
Today will be a river walk then our gardener is here, she’ll be weeding mainly and pruning a jasmine that needs it.
Our pub teams are a max of 6 Sar.
Safe journey to Oldudders.
Really not good enough Roses I would talk to your GP, I do hope you’re not facing this alone and have confided in
someone.
Have the best day you can.

Good morning all, from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 11°C.

Dear Roses, I feel so upset for you. No-one should gave to wait that long. ♥️

Ekwanimitee, I was diagnosed with the hip of an 80 year woman, at the age of 32, due to large doses of steroids.
Years of Alendronic Acid treatment and prescribed supplements have reversed that and I now have osteopaenia. There are things, which can be done.

Yesterday, the dentist managed to fit my crown back in, it was excrutiating! I was lucky to get an emergency appointment, due to being immunocompromised and the high risk of infection.
It is likely, the (front) tooth will need removed eventually. Nothing is ever simple.

I spent an hour pottering in the garden yesterday, that's all I can manage, without being wiped out. However, I enjoyed being out in the fresh air.

Last night was spent on choosing a ladder for the sacristy. The sacristans (all rather large men) advised me, that the present ladders were shoogly, (shaky),
I spoke to the P,P. and somehow I ended up with the task of ordering.
They debated on Whats App for hours, on what type they wanted. I kept sending them suggestions, which were dismissed.
They say women are indecisive. I told DH, they were a bunch of sweetie wives..--They had high level Civil Service and LA managerial jobs in a previous life. You would never have know--n
The problem was that they wanted a seven tread ladder, but you can only get them in even numbers.
Every day is a school day.🤣

DH has offered to take me a run to Helensburgh to cheer me up ♥️
We have been putting it off for ages, because I wasn't well enough.
The view down the river , from the Erskine Bridge, never fails to lift my spirits.
Lunch will be in our favourite tapas bar, I am so looking forward to it, because I can only eat small portions, so a treat for me.

Safe journey to all, who are travelling.

Have a good day.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton; another fine sunny day ahead; have just stripped the.bed and got the bedding into the washing machine.

Yesterday was beautiful although with a brisk wind. Arrived back from DDs mid morning and after lunch joined my walking group. It was so pleasant walking in the warm sunshine. When I got back I visited my neighbour who has just had a baby with a card and little gift and duly admired the new baby. He was so tiny at 6lb compared to my two who were 8lb and 9lb 3oz! He hasn't got a name yet.

Very little planned for today apart from a visit to the dentist after lunch for a check up. Must also finalise my Sainsbury's order for tomorrow's delivery.

Wishing all a pleasant day in the sunshine.

.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 08-Apr-26 08:44:08

Good morning from a mild sunny S E Essex.

I have stripped the bed, fed the washing machine, remade the bed and about to go in the shower.

My other plans have been cancelled as I am now on Granny duty for The Imp.

Will read all your posts with my latte later 🙋‍♀️

hollysteers Wed 08-Apr-26 08:54:31

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
The usual music club yesterday and sang more songs than usual as it was a small turnout.
Then some shopping and unexpectedly, bought a leather jacket to replace the plether one which had started peeling.

Not a good night, my right hip troubling me. Housework today and I might have a walk into the dunes at the bottom of the road.
Sketch I did yesterday.

Grannyme6 Wed 08-Apr-26 08:59:10

Good morning all from a sunny Essex. We had a lovely few days over Easter at our little place on the south coast, spending time with family.
Back to reality, with the washing machine whirring away and a fitness class to go to.
Wishing all a good day, and 💐 for Roses.

Usedtobeblonde Wed 08-Apr-26 09:02:53

Good morning all from a brightening Stockport.
I am not 100% today so must ring my difficult friend to say I won’t be seeing her later.
I will just send the hope that you all have the best day you can with lots of sunshine in it.

Usedtobeblonde Wed 08-Apr-26 09:03:46

GrannyGravy13 Wed 08-Apr-26 09:19:42

Oh RosesandLilac I do hope you get an appointment soon, sending you (((hugs))) 🌸

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Wed 08-Apr-26 09:20:20

Good morning everyone from a gloriously suny south Manchester where 20°C is expected.

I’m setting out for my yoga class in an hour (I slept like a log and only woke with my Alexa tells me it’s alarm!) then coffee in Starbucks afterwards with my friend.

This afternoon I have a Swedish massage booked for a full hour. At £60 I do hope I don’t mentally count each minute down thinking ‘that’s £1’ 😂

I will get the bus up as it’s just from here along the main road but as it’s sunny I plan to (a) venture out for the first time this year in cropped trousers and (b) will stroll home in my newish Tom Ford sunglasses - my last birthday present from Himself
💙

Then after an early tea I’m going to enjoy watching L’ilMiss at her swim lesson (whilst chatting to her mum always a pleasant way to catch-up.

All in all, the makings of a Good Day for which I’m very grateful. x

BlueSapphire Wed 08-Apr-26 09:31:30

Roses, had not read your post when I posted mine. So sad on your behalf that nothing yet is being planned.for you. I do admire your stoicism in the face of such devastating news and just hope that you hear something soon. 💐💐

Glammagran thinking of you walking round Bowood makes me feel so envious and nostalgic; thinking of the many times I have done the same, right from my early childhood. A most beautiful place - enjoy!

luluaugust Wed 08-Apr-26 09:40:57

^Ekwanimitee* I expect you will receive the Calcium and Vitamin D tablets, not a very exclusive club I’m afraid.
