Zack Polanski was born David Paulden on 2 November 1982[1] in Salford, Greater Manchester,[2] where he also grew up.[3] His Jewish ancestors had moved to the UK from Poland to escape the occupation by Nazi Germany,[4] but originated from Latvia which they fled to escape pogroms (initially to Ukraine, then to Poland)[5] in the early twentieth century. The family adopted the surname of Paulden hoping to evade antisemitism.[6][7] His parents divorced when he was young.[2] At age 18, he changed his name, restoring his familial name of Polanski, later saying it was important for him to take pride in his identity.[6] He also changed his first name, selecting Zack in homage to the Jewish character of the same name from the novel Goodnight Mister Tom, and to differentiate himself from his stepfather, also named David.[7]

Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon[9][10][11] was born in Luton on 27 November 1982.[12] According to him in 2013, he was born Stephen Yaxley in London, and later adopted by his stepfather, Thomas Lennon.[13][14] He attended Putteridge High School.[15]
Robinson had an Irish mother and an English father. His mother worked at a bakery and at Vauxhall's car plant in Luton.[16] After leaving school he applied to study aircraft engineering at Luton Airport: "I got an apprenticeship 600 people applied for, and they took four people on". He qualified in 2003 after five years of study, but lost his job when he was convicted of assaulting an off-duty police officer in a drunken argument[16] for which he served a 12-month prison sentence.[17]
The Tommy Robinson from whom Yaxley took his name was a prominent member of the Luton Town MIGs, a football hooligan crew which follows Luton Town.[18] The pseudonym successfully hid his identity and criminal history until the connection was uncovered in July 2010 by Searchlight magazine.[19][20] He has also used the names Andrew McMaster, Paul Harris,[21] Wayne King,[22][23] and Stephen Lennon.[21]

David Paulson aka Zak Polanski has just made a statement about antisemitism:
I am concerned about the rise in antisemitism and we know Jewish communities are saying they feel unsafe. There is a conversation to be had over whether it's a perception that they feel unsafe or whether they are actually unsafe.'
Yeah, he's right; firebombing synagogues, shooting Jews as they attend their place of worship, setting fire to the outside of their synagogues..... feeling unsafe in those circumstances is just perception. T**t.
Because one is a vile, racist thuggish criminal and the other isn't?
Alternatively, one is a racist, right wing thug with a criminal record and the other is a left wing charlatan, that has history of scamming women into believing he can hypnotise them to grow bigger breasts, retracted his claims and then double downed on them. Not a lot to choose between 'em really.
Not a lot to choose between 'em really
In terms of integrity, little.
I assumed it was just because one of them is using his own historical family name, and the other is using multiple pseudonyms?

I think thatās very unfair.
But each to their own!
How can it be unfair cossy? Both statements are entirely true and in the public domain.

The comment about Polanski isn't true, though. Yes, he did the original 'hypnotherapy' with a Sun journalist who was writing an article in 2013. It was she who claimed that her breasts had been enlarged, on no evidence at all apart from her say so. In one interview dredged up from a local paper Polanski appeared to believe that it was possible but there is absolutely no evidence at all that he scammed any women into believing he could make their breasts grow bigger through hypnotism.
The whole thing has been grossly exaggerated.
The comments about Polanski are a huge over embellishment and an āadd onā by racist followers to discredit him, and shame on people who are low enough to try and find a reason to knock him.
Look for anything to use about someone and you ll find it, a stick to beat them with ā¦desperate or what
Wasn't sure about those accusations against Polanski.
Thanks for the clarification.
MaizieD you're wrong.
The day after that interview he claimed to have been misrepresented about what he said.
However, six days after the first interview, Polanski spoke to BBC Radio Humberside and did not apologise but defended the claims.
^ Polanski said "Actually increasingly more and more as I work with people, there's starting to become anecdotal evidence, at least, of a growth in breast size," he told presenter Peter Levy.^
Always best to thoroughly check up before denouncing.

BlueBelle you think that this, š is racist?
The Green Party candidate for Manor Park, Newcastle, Phil Brookes, stated in a social media post that āit takes serious effort not to be a tiny bit anti-Semiticā.
The Green candidate for Clapham Town in south London Sabine Maire posted a video on social media stating that a terrorist attack on a synagogue was ānot anti-Semitismā but ārevengeā.
Ifhat Shaheen is a Green candidate in Stoke Newington. She has defended the October 7 attacks and suggested that Israel is harvesting organs from Palestinians.
Green party council candidate, Saiqa Ali, posted an image of the Earth being strangled by a snake clothed in an Israeli flag, accompanied by the caption āItās time to cut the head of this snakeā.
Chandni Chopra is the Green Party candidate for Heaton, Newcastle. She has questioned whether Hamas used rape during their attacks despite the horrific evidence and previously described Zionism as a āmental illnessā.
Now BlueBelle exactly who is being racist here?
Scamming women to get their breasts bigger is minor in comparison with the ideology of Polanski's party but adds another
Every red flag waving with polanski.
Tommy Robinson is a thug.
Blimey !š§
What a lot of ghastly antisemitic people they have in the Green Party letās just hope they donāt do well come the local elections and especially the next GE.
There truly isnāt much difference that I can see between the Greens and Reform in fact Farage comes out better imo than Polanski.
Hypnosis and enlarged breasts I can put up with, but not all the rest!š¤¬
Thanks Cardamon for taking the time to post that.šš»
Andrew gilligan is doing some good work looking at green party candidates.

I did check up. One interview in an obscure local news item (apologies to Humberside) which had to be searched for by a journalist a years later is not evidence that Polanski scammed any women at all. Which is what you claimed.
This thread seems to have gone off down a sideline. Zack Polanski has no criminal convictions, whereas Tommy Robinson has a number. Iām not a supporter of either of them, but it does explain why Tommy Robinson is known as Yaxley-Lennon, because he has multiple aliases and been convicted, when real names are used in court.

I think thoughtful posters have kindly given more details. I apologise for my off the cuff remark re the 2 of of them being as bad as each other.
One chooses a name of a vile hooligan to avoid detection, the other chooses to reinstate a name connected to his heritage.
Any body who thinks the thug is worth head space clearly has some sort of problem.
Iām not a supporter of these two men either.
Whatās the relevance sixandahalf to quoting my post?

Because I had got caught up in "they're both as bad as each other"
Inaccurate.
I need more time to study claims of anti semitic people in the Green party.
Nor me FriedGreen; they're equally vile and untrustworthy; just on opposite sides of the same spectrum.
