Good Morning Everyone,
Its just getting daylight here in Brackley but its dry outside .
Up to the usual with bus trip into Bicester ,shop and chat to those I know.
Health wise OK but with the chilly wind it effects my breathing problems.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a grey Bristol. It is supposed to have rained overnight, but everything seems dry. We so need the rain.
The trip to Tesco on foot went fine, I did two loads of washing then dried, ironed and put it away. I also planted my baby tomato plants. All I need now are some runner beans and an orange baby tomato plants- I’ve already got red and yellow. I’ve put French marigolds around them.
Today is a live concert day at FAB cafe - we hall have upwards of 80 attendees (if the weather isn’t too wet). I have already made a load of baking.
I hope MD’s dh is ok and it didn’t take too long for them to be seen. May the poorly get some respite and everyone else have a peaceful day.

Good morning from a sunny part of the Rhine between Strasbourg and Breisach.

Photos show Strasbourg Cathedral, including the astronomical clock and surrounding buildings which we visited yesterday. It was good to sit in a pavement café, watching the world go by! Today we are going on a coach trip through the Black Forest.

Happy hump day, everyone! 💐

Good morning from Malta where a windy day is forecast with a high of 23°C.

Yesterday I walked to the village to buy bread but ended up buying a lot more then realising it was going to be rather heavy to carry so I had to buy myself a shopping trolley! It certainly helped as I had a long walk to the next shop I needed, although I went in vain as they still don’t have what I went for in stock.

Had a visit from DD3 and the boys after school. DGS1 ate two bowls of porridge and DGS2 a large bowl of strawberries.

They played happily while DD3 had a nap but when she woke up DGS2 started being an absolute pain to his mum. He wants all the attention and can be a nightmare when he starts with his ‘strong feelings’! He never does it when he’s with me but when his mum is there he plays up. His brother just lets it all go over his head, he’s such a placid little boy. They are chalk and cheese.

I have a hair appointment today for a colour but before that a bit of housework. The floors need doing and I still haven’t done the ironing!

You put me to shame grandMattie with all your busyness!

Hoping Mr MD is doing better today, thoughts with all our poorly friends and loved ones, and our absent posters.☀️

Good morning from Shropshire.A dry day forecast.

After a few quiet days a busy day today.I have an appointment in Chester which DD1 will take me to as DH has an eye test in a different town at the same time.We will collect DGD from school later, take her for something to eat and then to her dance class.

Hoping Marydoll has better news today🙏🏻

Enjoy your coach trip Ash.

Wishing everyone the best day possible🌷🦩

Good morning all from a dull Black country.
Early start DH has a fishing match although he is not up to fishing problem with his back he still goes along as he is the organiser.
I have toddlers this morning then I think I will take myself to the cinema.
Hoping for better news from Marydoll today.
Have the best day you can everyone whatever your plans.
Thoughts with missing posters. ☀️

Grandmabatty Wed 06-May-26 06:38:38

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 4° and dry. Quite cloudy though. Ashcombe lovely photos. GrandMattie you are going to be busy again today! Bellasnana I have one here with 'strong feelings' too!
Yesterday the boys were very good apart from when dgs2 spilled a bowl of cheerios in the living room. Dgs1 is testing boundaries but always backs down (so far). Hes very funny. I managed to see the company I want to use for my garden work at the top of the road and pass on my details. Hopefully they will give me a price.
Today is my quiet day. To be honest, most days are but I rarely plan anything for a Wednesday. I look forward to it. I will potter about the house and garden happily. Have a good day all.

Good morning from chilly South Lanarkshire.

It was a fairly busy day yesterday as I did my usual shift in the charity shop then had my yarn group in the evening.

Today will be quieter although I do have a couple of things to return to M&S so that’ll mean a trip to a shopping centre.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 06-May-26 06:51:47

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

Yesterday’s lunch with old friends was good. We had starters and mains in a restaurant near to where they live and pudding and coffee back at theirs.

We were quite late back home so didn't have time to do the weekly Waitrose trip - which wasn’t done on Monday as we were in Kew. So, after the WI coffee morning I will go after lunch. The cupboard is nearly bare.

OH will visit his bees yet again. He has to do something to one of the hives which will agitate the bees no end.

Have a good day. I do hope MD’s OH was dealt with promptly yesterday.

kittylester Wed 06-May-26 06:55:24

Good morning all from a chilly but bright North Leicestershire.

Our new cleaner (who seems very good 🤞🤞) will be here at 9.30. DH is going to the gym and I will attempt to clear my desk. Out for lunch and this evening I have the last of this Carer's Course on Zoom and DH is trying out a local jazz club with some friends.

Have the best day possible everyone.

latedecember1963 Wed 06-May-26 06:58:18

Good morning everyone from Lancashire.
My friends who were popping by yesterday ended up staying for 3 hours so I need to finish the last load od washing today as it seemed rude to be on and out of the kitchen.

Taking the little chap to a toddler group that's within walking distance this morning for a change.
The lady who runs it has recently had a baby so I'm taking her a baby hat I've knitted.

I hope Marydoll and her DH were looked after at the hospital.

Wishing everyone a good day. 🌻

Georgesgran Wed 06-May-26 07:07:14

Good Morning from sunny Spain. Arrived yesterday - it was a long day with a 3am start from Durham. A lazy week with a friend.
Hoping for better news from many of our GM friends.

Best wishes to all. X

ginny Wed 06-May-26 07:09:24

A dry but dull start here in N. Bucks.
My sister in Law was very down when we arrived yesterday and feeling annoyed either herself or for it. Having lost her husband and her son in the last 18 months I’m not surprised she has days like that. We talked a lot and she was feeling better by the time we left.
Today I have a pile of ironing to do . I must also pop down town to buy some raffle prizes and some for a quiz night at WI.
Hopefully this afternoon I will have time to catch up up on some art work before my class tomorrow.
Wish all with troubles and illnesses to deal with find some relief and a good day for all.

Cossy Wed 06-May-26 07:13:17

Morning all

Seems like it’ll be another sunny day in Westcliff-on-sea.

Awake earlier than usual as cocker spaniel suddenly needed to be let in the garden and she let me know very loudly!

Nothing much planned for today other the usual housework, washing and cooking and the never ending attempts to declutter!

Have a good day one and all and hope wherever you are blessed with sunshine.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where we have white cloud cover. It’s not windy but we shall only reach 13°C today.

I have yoga on my mat class mid morning then coffee afterwards with my friend who joined. I’m glad of this as today would’ve been Himself’s birthday. It’ll help scoot the day along.

He shared his birthday with Tony Blair who was year younger and George Cooney who wasn’t quite as gorgeous - in my opinion. 💙

Redcar Wed 06-May-26 07:17:09

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. Sunny at the moment with a cool northerly breeze.
I spent some time yesterday trying to order a new shopping bag to fit on the front of a rollator given to me by my niece. It was her mum’s and is lighter than one I have. It seems the rollator is not as new as I thought it was, so not sure I can get a bag to fit on it. I have to send measurements to the company today.
I’m planning a quiet day as I’m busy tomorrow and Friday.

ash I hope you enjoy your coach trip today. Lovely photos of Strasbourg cathedral.

I hope there is better news from md today.

grandmattie I hope the Fab cafe goes well today and that everyone enjoys the music!

Have the best day possible everyone. I hope all those struggling find some relief today.

RosesandLilac Wed 06-May-26 07:18:47

Good morning, it’s a chilly morning here in south Glos, quite bright but barely 5°.
I repotted some of my succulents yesterday, they live on the front window sill and were badly in need of tidying up. They’ll spent the summer on the garden table. DH moved the big tub I grow my runner beans in, I will refresh the compost in readiness for planting. I’ve ordered my plants online. I need to sort out the two hanging baskets today.
It’s younger DGS’s birthday this week, I need to go to the post office this morning and post his card but not much else planned.
I hope today goes well for you all x

Morning Mick, morning All from a grey, low cloud corner of Somerset. It apparently might rain, we’ll see.

Yesterday was filled as predicted. Today? A trough to plant by the front door and with Mr C’s will help bulbs to remove from others in the back. Then the day is a blank canvas.

Hope mr marydoll had prompt, helpful treatment yesterday.

Best wishes to all. Have the best day you can.

Redcar Wed 06-May-26 07:20:17

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire. We have sunshine and the prospect of a dry day. I have had shenanigans with my iPad this morning following an overnight update. It’s starting to worry me. I usually know if they’re going to update it.

Today I have an engineer from my energy company coming to upgrade the software in my meters. I booked an 8 to 12 slot. He rang yesterday and told me he has to go to the dentist first and I told him that if he isn’t finished and gone by twelve noon, he will be in trouble because I have someone coming for a meeting at one and will need the power back on and him out of the way. This household of one thrives on the premise “if anything can go wrong it surely will” so I’m not optimistic.

Ash I’m glad you’re enjoying your cruise. Lovely ohotos.

Have the best day you can, folks.

brook2704 Wed 06-May-26 07:35:24

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a bright and sunny start to the day
Thanks for the photos Ash, enjoy today’s activities, also hoping Georgesgran and everyone else on holiday has a lovely times
I’m going to the gym this morning and then picking up both DGC after school as they’re staying for a sleepover tonight, there’s no school tomorrow due to the local elections.
Fgt 💐
Hoping Marydolls DH is doing ok
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Sar53 Wed 06-May-26 07:46:04

Good morning from the Essex coast. It's sunny at the moment but the forecast says rain later.
We didn't do very well at the quiz last night but it was a very enjoyable evening.
DH has his third eye operation this afternoon. We are keeping everything crossed that it works this time. I'll drop him off at the hospital about 12.30 and spend the next few hours worrying until he rings for me to collect him.
Thinking of everyone with worries. I hope Wednesday is a good day xx

EkwaNimitee Wed 06-May-26 07:47:08

Good morning Mick and everyone from a Carlisle of blue skies and lots of white cloud. Grey is due this afternoon.
Yesterday I had an early trip to the surgery for blood sampling prior to my appointment with the osteo nurse who's under the illusion that's she's going prescribe some rather nasty drugs to prevent osteoporosis. No chance!
Next stop was the opticians to collect my new glasses with the revised prescription, I'll be putting them on shortly hoping to avoid the dizziness and nausea that came with the previous new prescription.

Today will be catch up with the housework, can't let it slide, I have visitors next week. There's ironing to finish and inside windows to clean for starters. Unless it's actually raining, I'll be in the garden after lunch, there's so much to do all of a sudden.
There'll be little rests in between tasks with my book which I hope to finish today.

Do have a good day everyone if you can....special good wishes for MrMD

Good morning all and it’s bright and sunny but still with a chill.

DIL and I got paperwork sorted yesterday morning . I do count my blessings with family support.♥️.
Bridge in the afternoon with only 12 of us but I had a good partner so here’s hoping 🤞.

Today our 14 yr old gd is seeing a consultant who could well operate on her minescus tear . We are waiting to hear.
This will put a hold on her very ambitious dancing/gymnastics dream. 😢.

Today I’ll meet my old pal /neighbour for coffee. She has ants in her pants , so it’s always a quick in and out and a whirl around the market.. Later I’ll meet my other old pal for lunch. This will be a 3 hour stint with lots of chat.
Dh is going out for brunch with his old pal.

I hope mr. Marydoll has now got his bp under control.🙏

fgt I love that your dh was more gorgeous than GC. ♥️.

I hope you all have a ‘good day’
