Good Morning Everyone,
Its light and dry just before sun up here in Brackley this morning.
Have had a bad night as to loo visits , but otherwise up and showered ,and get into my usual routine with the bus trip to Bicester to shop and maybe chat to those I know.
Health wise I think the cold chilly wind we have been getting seem to be the cause of problems , Maybe I should have the Raspatory jab.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Malta where another hazy day is forecast with a high of 26°C.

The new handyman arrived right on time yesterday and did a good job fitting the new centre light and dimmer switch. He’s going to return to do some painting for me and his charges are very reasonable. I wish I had found him before as I was definitely overcharged for having my bedroom painted and it’s not even been done to a good standard.

I picked the boys up and had them until 5.30. We played outside for most of the time and they were absolute angels. They have good imaginations and make up their own games.

I have an unexpected hair appointment this morning as my hairdresser can’t work on Friday this week due to a hospital appointment.

I’ll be picking the boys up again. DD3 said her friend could collect them but I said I love seeing those two little happy faces coming out of school. They are what keep me going.

Sorry I missed your birthday harrigran, belated congrats and I hope you had a lovely day.💐

Hoping you all have a good day.☀️

Good morning from an overcast Bristol. I doubt we’ll have rain, but I hope the cold wind will die down.
bellas, you are having such a lovely time with your little darlings. It will be such wonderful memories when they are adults, for all of you and are irreplaceable. ash, enjoy your French stay.
I slept very well last night. I had been cold the previous night, so added a blanket to my lighter bedding and was as snug as a bug…
I also was very tired from doing so much. Baked a coffee tray bake and brownies, made 17 pots of orange/lemon marmalade, washed and labelled them. Did the washing, dried on the line and ironed.
The chiropodist came and really gave us value for money as she spent nearly 45 minutes on each of us. My feet feel lovely, but the acid test will be today with the FAB cafe and later the “hill climb” to the next village library where I’m leading our book group. I suggested the book which I had enjoyed but curiously rereading it after a couple of months was hard going.
Have a gentle day all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩🐦‍🔥

Good morning from damp South Lanarkshire.

Belated birthday wishes Harrigran. 🎂

It was a busy day yesterday, between my shift in the shop and the yarn group last night. We are sewing flowers onto fine garden mesh to make decorative panels which we will put up in the centre of our wee town. Every day I do most of the NewYork Times puzzles, Wordle, Connections, Sudoku, Spelling Bee, mini and midi crosswords and a couple of others so had all that to do when I got home last night. I wish I could skip it sometimes but it has become such a habit that it’s almost a compulsion.

Today will be batch cooking day, not quite 101 dishes to cook with mince but a few.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning from Sheffield

It is so cold grandMattie isn’t it .I wish it would warm up a little bit.

I have a full day working then I’m going for my toes smartened up and painted pink as we are off on holidays on Sunday . I thought I better make my feet look decent .
We are going to Zante . It’s the first time we’ve had a fly and flop holiday for many years , at least since before Covid so I’m trying to smarten up a bit. Even the legs are getting a shave.
I have a volunteer meeting this evening so by the time I get home it will be straight to bed.

Take care everyoneflowers

Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly, blustery, damp corner of Somerset. Rain showers forecast all day.

Such a change after yesterday when we wandered the rhododendron wood in sunshine, leaving just as the clouds piled in. Ignoring the sat nav we had no trouble finding our way there. It’s just further than I’d like it to be and suspect that will be our final visit.

Matters domestic will fill the day today. Ironing and dust removal along with a call from our goddaughter which I anticipate will be a long one. I can do nothing to help her situation other than listen as any suggestion I offer, although asked for, are promptly ignored. I just hope a listening ear will defuse some tension.

Belated happy birthday wishes harrigran and good wishes to anyone with celebrations today.

Wishing you all the best day it can be.

Good morning from a cold and rainy Black Country,

Luckily it was bright and sunny yesterday on our walk around Westminster and Covent Garden before our train home at 3pm. The hordes were camped outside No 10!

Today I have to go over to Mums to go food shopping for her. I usually go Tuesdays, but being in London yesterday I will go today, she will be at the Day Centre.

Belated happy birthday wishes harrigran I hope you had a lovely day.

Good morning from Leamington where I believe I can hear rain. I'm not looking forward to the school run with DGD4.
DH saw his Consultant yesterday and the transplant has taken and he is beginning to see again. Such relief.
He will have another appointment in 4 weeks to check on progress.
We can see light, literally, at the end of a very long tunnel.
Today I will tackle washing and ironing, 3 girls means lots of dirty clothes.
Belated birthday wishes to Harrigran, I hope you had a good day.
Wishing you all well, best wishes xx

Good morning, it’s chilly, grey and an uninspiring sky here in south Glos., supposedly we’re getting rain today but I’ll be surprised if it’s much.
I test drove a lovely bright orange Micra automatic yesterday and it’s perfect for me. Even better it’s nearly a direct swop for my current car; I will collect it next week!
I have stopped the insurance, the lovely man made it very simple. I have a ‘pay as you go’ policy which is fantastic for someone doing few miles. I just need to swop the tracker. I’ve added breakdown coverage, including tyres, for complete peace of mind.
It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but as I never used them on my Focus, I won’t miss them 😁
I seem to have got a cold from somewhere, didn’t sleep well but a quiet day today. I have a zoom art class this morning, nothing is ready for it so that’s the first thing I need to do.
I was surprised that so many of my roses are blooming already, it’s early isn’t it? They’re looking remarkably healthy too, considering that I neglected them this year apart from pruning. I will give them a feed if it rains, otherwise I will need to get a liquid fertiliser.
Belated happy birthday hariigran, I hope you had a lovely day.
Wishing you all a peaceful day x
🌹

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cloudy and cold, only about 5° 🥶
Good news at last about your DH Sar, so pleased for you both
I’ve a busy day ahead with volunteering, there’s a group of us travelling over to Aberdeen for the day to help out there with the finals. An early train out and a late train back but we’ll have a good time and enjoy it.
Enjoy the new car Rosesandlilac it sounds good
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope the day is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning all from a chilly North Leicestershire. We have had rain overnight but it is now brighter but chilly.

Our cleaner is due at 9.30 and DH has the gym. I have a few phone calls to do upstairs in the study.

I hope you had a good birthday Harri.

Have the best day possible everyone.
