Good morning from a damp NE, we must have had overnight rain.
I did not have the quiet day I was expecting yesterday, DS got in touch and said that if I was up to it he was going to take me to look at wheelchairs. I found a suitable one and bought it.
DD sent a message late last night to say she had arrived in Canada, she is there for work but SIL is there as a tourist.
Have a good day.

Good Morning from a very wet Durham. The rain looks set in for the day, possibly the week! DGS1 has an inset day and was going to visit a NT property, plans may be revised!
I’m meeting a friend for coffee this morning, then this afternoon, I’ve to go to a branch of Virgin to sign something - can’t be done online. Luckily, I love driving - some weeks I’m never off the roads. Thinking of a new car too.
Usual walk with Little Dog later, but not in the woods which will be very wet. I’m quite pleased he’s going home Wednesday, although he’ll be back again for the weekend.
Safe journey Ash
Roses hope it all goes to plan today and you get your results promptly.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning, Michael12 and everyone!

It's been pouring with rain again all night and still is now - my type of weather!

I've been here at work since 5 am, shelf filling, stocktaking, cleaning, etc., so I'm on a break.

Last night I plonked down in front of my computer with a 1L carton of Alpro Almond Milk and a Ben and Jerry's Strawberry Cheesecake tub and watched ''Someone Is Watching'', with Stefani Powers, Mickey Toft and Margot Kidder, and brilliant acting from Martin Neufeld as BJ.

Back to work for me!

Have a good one!

A late good morning all from the central south coast where we have intermittent sun and clouds. There is some rain in the forecast for later this afternoon.

Hence we got the beds stripped early, sheets etc. in the washer and DH put out the lines and props ready for hanging out. First load is out and next will soon follow. My left arm has improved quite a bit lately and 13 months after the original injury, I am finding, finally, that physical jobs are easier.

Bellas the news of the fireworks explosion in Malta overnight brought back a memory of a friend of my big brother in our Yorkshire village, who lost an eye when some idiot threw a banger at him on Bonfire night. I have always been scared of bangers and noisy fireworks in general, ever since.

Take care on your journey home today Ash and hope you have a calm crossing. Portsmouth is only 7 miles away from us so I will give you a wave tonight to say "Goodnight"!

Kind thoughts to all with struggles and worries and hope for some ease and calm today for us all.

FGT you are another warrior woman.Himself would be so proud of you as are we your friends on gransnet💐

Aw thank you SO much for caring. It really does mean a lot to me. (seconded by dear dragonfly too). Support on GN shows our natures at their very best.

My Yorkshire Lass phoned earlier “you’re doing amazing mum, we’re all so proud of you. Each time you rip the plaster off and face things. Dad wanted this. Remember he said ‘when I go I’ll take all this sadness with me - and leave you to the joy of living”. Well done mum, well done.”

Hi I’m new on here. From Bristol. I will be going to the Mall tomorrow with grandmattie. Looking forward to meeting people there. Have a good day. x

grandMattie Mon 01-Jun-26 09:37:39

👏👏 Granniemay. And thank you for accompanying me to the Mall. I have lost myself spectacularly three times in Bristol and, not being the most self confident, would hate to get lost and late tomorrow when I’m supposed to have arranged this meet-up! 🙏

Welcome Granniemay.

Good morning everyone from the east coast it’s cooler and we have rain later.
I’ve just been out for a 45 minute walk before the rain. I’m going to have a coffee and take out all the forget me nots from the bottom border as they are making it look tatty and overgrown. The blue calendula are really taking over but the bees love them. On my walk i passed a huge butterfly bush the one that has the orange balls on it and it was full of every bee imaginable. Are all your buxus dying? Ours are and everyone i see. Not a good year for them with the box caterpillar so they need throwing out too.

I’ll pick up DGS from school later. DH is cooking a Thai curry for dinner so it’s a fairly relaxing day for me.

Wishing everyone on holiday a lovely time. 🌞
Thinking about our virtual friends suffering illness and stress. 💐
