Good morning all from a showery Glasgow, where it is 10°C.
I love those toes, R&L. I really want to do mine, but can't reach them!
Yesterday, there was a delay getting out for our trip, due to the fact, that when I opened the church safe, I found the donation bags, lying on the floor, still full of money, from the previous night . That is the sacristan's responsibility. 🤔
Thankfully, my friend, the Monday sacristan, asked what he could do to help and gave me a hand.
I caused such a stir, because I was wearing a dress, instead of my usual uniform of jeans and a top.
One, rather eccentric and deaf elderly parishioner, shouted out, rather loudly Why a dress? Why a dress? I tried to pretend I hadn't heard, but he persisted, Another wanted to know if I was going somewhere special, because I was dressed up..
Church is quite intimate during the week, so everyone notices everything!
There was me thinking, I looked quite elegant, but people were more interested in why I was wearing a dress. 🤭
We had a lovely morning in Troon, followed by the most delicious lunch in our favourite restaurant.
Unfortunately, I had a funny turn, reminiscent of the occasion last September, when I collapsed in Glasgow.
I had a drink and sat on a bench for a while till it passed.
We also had to cut short our trip, because DH was exhausted. This is the man, who used to play two rounds of golf in one day.
Despite the drama, we thoroughly enjoyed our day out
When we arrived home, two hospital letters were awaiting DH.
One was for a scan of his kidneys (no idea why) next Thursday and one regarding his colonoscopy.
He was advised that his urgent colonoscopy would be within the next four months, because some cases are more urgent than his! You couldn't make it up.
Today, I am off to Paisley for my Covid booster. We had planned to get the bus, due to parking difficulties, but I am struggling to walk. Decisions, decisions. It may have to be tbe the car and drive round in circles, until I find a space.
We had planned to go for coffee, but my RA is so troubesone, I just want to be at home.
The photos are of the view across to the Isle of Arran and to the right, you can just about see Ailsa Craig.
The third photo is of my tablet ice cream. It was pure nectar. DH said he didn't want ice cream, then demolished half of mine. 😊
Wishing everyone a pleasant day.
Hoping the holiday makers are having a lovely time and a hug, who have ill health and family worries to contend with.
P.S.
Latedecember, if you you wish to use italics, put ^ before and after the word with no spaces.
Strike through is -- before and after the word/ sentence.
