The Galapagos Islands, definitely. As some of you may know, I'm a tortoise-lover and I would just love to see the giant tortoises on the island. I would also be fascinated to see where Darwin developed his groundbreaking theory of evolution.
Sadly I don't think that will be possible now, as it's not really a traditional tourist destination (quite rightly) and I'm not sure I could cope with the journey.
Failing that, I would have loved to visit Madagascar for its unique flora and fauna. A huge proportion of its wild-life inhabitants are found nowhere else in the world - incredible!
AskAlice fyi a friend of mine just got back from a trip to the Galapagos with Nature Trek, flew most of the way and then a small, non luxury type cruise to Galapagos Isles. Very much a trip designed for nature lovers, small group of people can't remember exactly but think less than 20, apparently very well informed speakers. She loved it.
