Good morning from Bristol. It has rained through the night and the air feels fresher - less pollen. I don’t have hay fever but have been sneezing more than usual.
Yesterday’s nurse appointment surprised me: the nurse thinks my tiredness is a mental/grief issue. A load of tosh, but I’ve had to make a GP appointment. The end of July!
Today, after the usual FAB cafe, I’m rushing home for a bite, the straight back to the church hall. The Ladies’ Guild is having an “afternoon tea”, which I’ve been asked to help serve, apart from being one of the youngest (at 78?) I’m also probably the most mobile. I’m always surprised at how imperious and entitled a lot of the women are. They forget that, like them, I’m just another member of the group, not a professional.
The residents are incandescent; we have been told that our wonderful, temporary, agency manager isn’t carrying on. So now we are back to square 1. We all suspect that it was because she was too effective, and also wanted the tied house to be cleaned and brought up to standard! Curiously, it is exactly a year since the previous manager retired.
Have a good day all, and those in sick baymove out!
